Pitlick,
Fishing vessels would indeed be better at collecting the plastic. My theory is that the DMG is located on a factory ship and a few trawlers are used collect the plastic which is then hauled aboard the factory ship as feedstock for the DMG, where the hydrogen produced is stored in large tanks. There are five areas in the world's oceans where these plastic islands collect which are too far from land to make the collection and transfer to land by small vessels economical. Such a fleet could also visit the many isolated islands inundated by ocean borne plastic waste, reducing its impact upon human populations and fragile ecosystems.
I would imaging that such a venture would need international funding, primarily as a waste disposal solution, but as a back of a beer mat theory, with political will, not unfeasible.
Imagine the 'greenie points' for PHE if such a theory should bear fruit.
Kenny,
Thank you for your informative posting.
Thinking laterally, I wonder if it would it be possible to fit ships (gas tankers themselves powered by h2fc's) with DMG units and send them out to the ocean's plastic islands which then become a floating plastic mine for conversion to hydrogen.
Castlepaul13, I wish I was your age with those shares. You should do really well.
I had to retire early due to injury but consider myself lucky as I'm still here.
Glad to have found PHE as the potential is very healthy both economically and environmentally.
I've added a comment to the article:
Hydrogen makes even more sense when it can be produced from the mountains of waste plastic and old tyres as in the process developed and being rolled out by Cheshire based Powerhouse Energy.
Looks like you'll be needing it for your new Merc or BMW.
ITM was mentioned by another poster so I thought PHE should also get a mention.
KZG is supposedly an investment company but any investment it makes is not with any generated funds but with shares in the company.
I now class KZG as a tunnel builder: just as the train carrying pi's nears the light at the end the passengers find out that it's only the light of the builders building an extension to the tunnel.
My train stops here, my 2500000 sell hasn't shown up yet but it will in due course.
Also sold out of IRON.
Also slept in, doh! A night celebrating my new pizza oven.
Things looking good for my wife's new kitchen. Will you be doing the cooking then dear?
Seriously, a very good update to calm the nerves while waiting for the real news. Or, how I think about it, waiting for the eagle to land.
Sparing a thought to those caught between a rock and a hard place by suspension and covid. I hope things are now settled very quickly.
I also salute Paramedic and all those professionals, not forgetting the families and the volunteers, involved in the treatment and care of those that are suffering. My cousin is a red zone (covid ward) nurse and her work there is harrowing.
Wishing everyone all the best.
Pal, I'm also subject to the daytime invasion of my spouse when she should be at work. So far the ship is on an even keel, I'm writing on my laptop in the shed.
I did chuckle at your post as it brought to mind the time when my beloved asked that question 'If you could change anything about me what would it be?' Apparently 'You talk too much' was the wrong answer!
Ian,
I haven't joined the game before but would have chosen today as it's my good lady's birthday.
I will now predict 19/05/20 - for no other reason than my own birthday and this would be a further cause to celebrate.
That doesn't alter the fact that I would prefer to celebrate this earlier but I do expect very good news when it eventually breaks.
All the best,
Awstin
Buckeye,
Like I said, just a theory deduced from Ufa's proximity to WK.
The tools are transportable of course so MT is a possibility but, to my mind less likely.
The drills are not needed so much on the main WK mining site, unless it's to test for deeper deposits, but for the exploration licences of the WK flanks and Tipil.
Like you I'm not a mining engineer, just an investor looking at information provided by others and adding my own possible theory for discussion, so thanks for your contribution.
Research in the last couple of days from A1ex re. Rosnedra; Herbie53 re. AP; and Aaron re. Gowling.
Looking at Belstaff's AP facebook link it shows its headquarters is at Ufa which is 'near' to West Kytlim.
Looking through their products the item that strikes me is their drilling rig, no doubt supported by the various other items that could be used along with it.
Can we deduce from this that eua will retain and mine WK, with the new tools being used to explore the WK flanks then onwards to the Tipil licence when that is approved?
We shall see but it's as good a theory as any other we currently have.
Adding my thanks for the research, I apologise if I've missed someone, keep up the good work and stay safe.
