matt - it depends on your point of view as to whether they failed to get a deal or not but it was IRON who pulled out of the previous negotiations. They may be perceived to be in a weaker bargaining position but at the end of the day they hold a jorc certified resource that is vast, high quality and at (or near enough to make no difference) the surface.
My expectations are not sky high here but need 2.1p to break even.

Getting poorer - they won't be getting poorer but their reputations as players able to extract the best deal are important to them, especially when you look at GC's other companies IRON (which is in a similar process to AMER) and KZG which is chasing the all important JORC listing to add value to its investment in a Namibian lithium/tantalum mine, with a view, I believe to selling that as well. They'll want top dollar for both.
