Its all about the trade-offs. If you are referring to the experimental types we have seen then passenger solar powered will likely never happen. There is actually a high electrical demand in aircraft too, similar to sea-going vessels, requirements for radio (VHF/HF) radar, galleys etc. There is a reason most airliners travel above 30,000 ft which is to clear the weather and provide a smoother flight. Aero engines are more efficient the higher they go too, but you need power to get there. Over recent years efficiencies in the system have improved with continuous climb departures and continuous descent arrivals. But the move away from fossil fuel for commercial aviation is a long way off.

General aviation is a different ball game and there are some very interesting developments wrt solar and electrical powered flight.

Aircraft will not operate by electrical propulsion.

Virgin have been trialling with some success hydrogen powered engines which give similar performance to existing avgas. The average jet engine gets through 2 tonnes fuel per hour, so replacing that with something clean and, more importantly cheaper, will be a big leap forward. But I dont expect that to happen for quite some time.

Surely the value of your virtual portfolio is irrelevant when you know there is something going on you cannot explain, however, more to the point, we know news is expected next year which will only drive the price upwards. Considering these actions by the MM's whether human or MI, and I suspect the former, it speaks volumes that they are short of stock. But more importantly, they are aware of what is to come. Are they hoarding shares knowing the price will increase substantially in the next few weeks , or is there another reason.

No. I didn't miss out. I bought at 0.95 on 2 Dec after a mention on the BLOE board by V111JAS.

Its faltered at 2p. Cant see this rising much more today, its the run up to end of year trading and interest will be lost. Its had a good rise since the beginning of the month, but next year looks promising.

Would be great to see it climb further today, but better to see some consolidation first.

The fall was exacerbated today by the late rise on Friday last week at the close, which those familiar, and invested in this company, will have been aware of and therefore no concerns or worries over what is effectively an adjustment to last weeks trading parameters. Nothing to worry about and all recent activity has indicated is a consolidation based on readily accessible information.

A certain poster, submitting comments under multiple usernames is not going to have any affect on the price, the only affect it has is to annoy investors by demonstrating a complete lack of respect and ignorance towards investment principles.

Predictions - the share price will remain in the 8p band and will do so until next year when anticipated news will take it higher. If anyone wants to argue that, feel free, but please base your argument on properly researched and evidenced information. Not some immature headline grabbing nonsense.

a quick check at CH will give a good indication, you simply need to look at the accounts. Not difficult at all. Historically it never made over £1m but that is not an indication or driver of sale price.

I don't see why he even needs to mention it, its completely irrelevant, which was my main point and it only draws attention to an insignificant matter which makes me wonder about his motives. His ego clearly does play a part otherwise he would not introduce such details.

Interesting comment. A quick check on CH shows its not even making anywhere near that amount. Hardly a vote of confidence.

Some of you are predicting a rise based on 'big day' event tomorrow when you need to exercise realism and allow the share price to speak for itself. Great, if it goes up it goes up, but all this nonsense about 7p, 8p and 10p is simply that. Unless you can provide meaningful well researched rationale for your claims I suggest the best approach is to remain silent.

Agreed. It will be a 'big day' for Block in the grand scheme, but don't expect the share price to move much. This news/change is already priced in.

No one has posted insider information and Shareholderchar has made his position quite clear. Clearly SHC will be acutely aware of the implications of posting confidential information, so I question why anyone would want to challenge that.

People clearly dont research and rely on bulletin boards for information. Shedlight being a case in principle. According to him the Lixus development is going to be cost prohibitive because its too deep. Had he spent 30 seconds researching he would have discovered 850m depth is nothing. North Sea oil, which the UK has been exporting for years , has rigs up to 2km deep yet UK makes substantial monies from that alone.

That underpins the potential for Lixus, not only being less that 1/2 the depth, but the added advantage of being gas.

Rather than squabbling and revealing ignorance, try researching and contributing to a mature process, where all can benefit. Unless of course you have an ulterior motive.
