Brent net longs were up at the end of last week hedgefunds speculating on higher prices. I think Brent will break into the $70s range and stay there for a while. The market is made on speculation not pure fundamentals.

This is why the SP dropped form the 40s. Now it looks like Brent is returning to the $70s back there we should go. before FID ! Hence why I mentioned Oil price volitility last night.

For me I would prefer it if he wasn't buying at the bottom like Tony D with his 42.7p PMO buy during the refinancing I thought that was a bit dodgy.

The price of oil hasn't exactly been stable recently, PMO are looking for a partner for Sealion like Chryassoar who they were looking at Chevrons assets with.
Everything looking bullish again for oil price WTI over $61.5. Should see this back to the 40s in short order.

WTI now $61.55 with the Brent spread we had not so long ago that would equal Brent well over $70.

I think it started with speculation about a Britvic take over. So a lot of the value is the Brand.. mental I know.
