Are you denying the link between Odey and Ashley. Why on earth would Odey even want to close his short, there is absolutely no reason for him. Its all strategic and your completely missing it !

The £100+million is gone but what remains is 29% control of the shares and hence votes. It is this which he doesn't want to be wiped out and has already offered £150m loan then a £100m purchase and 5p a share to retain. This is also I believe why Odey, JPM and possibly others are buying the voting rights or shares. So the SP could go anywhere until this is resolved.

Odey Asset Management have 5.2% but as I stated earlier Odey LF Fund have 3.6%
Its in one of the RNSs. The total isn't completed but as the LF Fund is different
I think its both holdings together. So he holds 8.8% and still has a 7.8% Short

Ok cheers. You can tell him from me that $79+ Brent will be seen this year. Gold I'm not so sure but this year it really should break out of its $1380 range.

Wise words there, I would be interested to know your commodity traders view on taking notice of Odeys positions.
Also if you could ask his predictions for 2019 Brent highs and Gold highs too. Much appreciated
