I don't know I am registered so on the stock on loan page its a drop down box for the each month, then the month details open up about 30 pages worth. I have just looked on there to give you all those %ages there is no end Sept yet Obviously the 20% fig was because of the Rights issue. For what its worth the highest figure I have seen was over 39% and Premier Oil is currently over 24% ! I think I know why but thats another story.

The stock on loan figures are available on euroclear, you either need to register or pay.
I have some Metro figures for month end so will get next lot around 4th Oct
All month end stock on loan May 20.44% June 14.92% July 11.4% Aug 13.12%

Sounds like your learning pretty quick then ! The other poster was being facetious but hes right that long term holders sometimes lend their shares out to shorters for a fee ( something like 3% ) and the more stock lent out the more expensive it can be to borrow. This is still risky so be careful !

The FT mentioned Metro should put itself up for sale not that it would likely receive a takeover bid. Unfortunately the two are very different. I agree that someone might like to buy Metro but unlikely to be at much of a premium if at all.

I said the introduction of IMO2020 should increase the premium on ( heavier) Brent to ( lighter) WTI back to $10 Do I really need to join all the dots and do the colouring in for you ? While we are at it I did not say this would occur on the 1st Jan 2020 which is the binary bet you seem to have taken it upon yourself to hold me to.

I think someone mentioned a $10 premium for heavier crudes due to IMO2020 on here a week or so ago but Neil told me I was talking nonsense so I must have been wrong.

Ah the perfect markets theory, IMO2020 cannot be priced in yet as there is little data on how it will be tackled by shipping or if it will be strictly enforced or not. There are a number of options and scenarios which could play out. How long do you think it takes speculators to take a short or long futures position ?

and some of us think we will see $40 or even $30 oil yet still want to invest in Enquest ? It takes two opposing views to make a market !
