Its interesting to note that Marshall Wallace have been slowly closing their short on Kier Group from 2.39% on 29th August to 1.28% on 1st Oct not sure why but they have made profit so they are taking it. That is the usual rules but it is not something you can bank on if you pardon the pun. So it is not as cut and dried as shareholders say no.

The thing (s) that did for Flybe was the credit card issuers requiring more and more collateral or they would not take any more card payments/ an order with penalties for $220m worth of aircraft they no longer needed/ weak management who didn't raise capital when they could have. Crunch time came rather fast there but before hand the stock surged well over 100%

Gold net long contacts on the Comex increased 10% last week and are at a very high level (over 300k ), so the traders money is on POG continuing its accent. I guess once POG has convincingly broken through $1550 the SP here should be in to £1.70s + all INMHO

euroclear showing 14.12% stock on loan at end Sept, what was it now for end Aug 13.32 ( from memory )
So shorts were already slowly slipping out the back door. I would expect at least 5% of that 14.12 to close, Odey might reduce a bit but he will stay for his Black Swan wet dream event. All in my very humble opinion.

The equity value should have no bearing on the bond issue. The bond holders have lent the money based on the book value here.

Well the figure being touted by the fund manager was that the South African bank was interested at £300m I suppose they might improve a little on that 10% perhaps ?
