Pearls,
From the JKR interview Sorrell was asked about NASDAQ listing which he shot down as being an unwanted expense and distraction to running the business. I think this also shoots down a premium listing. Also very much doubt the Golden share will ever be relinquished ! Succession plan well whoever it were to be the market would no doubt not like it so I don't really see the point. I see Rupert Murdoch has only just stood down at age 92 so Sorrell could have 14 years left as chair. I think we only need him for 3-5 years
Krakenoil
Can't find anything, the story re Aussi LNG restarting hit overnight which could have some influence. Its mostly still just the interest rates, higher for longer jitters. Brent still very strong though in the $90s I was surprised it rallied yesterday thought it would be sideways for sometime.
No1plasterer,
Today is market related, makes a good pull back from the bounce from 66.6.
The 500 jobs have already happened from the high of over 9000. A few more could be trimmed in my view or a lot more if A.I. can be successfully used
Martinen,
I think you are probably right in your assumptions/ workings. I might reply to Craig at I.R. with some Swedish selling numbers. but I am not sure the company really believes Swedish de-listing will not hurt the share price.
Just heard back from I.R. apparently the holding in Sweden is 15% ( out of 22% float ) and approx 7.5% is retail.
They also refuted the weak SP as being influenced/ determined by Swedish de-listing. Time will tell I guess.
I think we have had enough volume so far that half of the retail holding for example could have been sold.
Mrlong,
Metrobank is a complete non-business, they only make money on safety deposit boxes. Besides wasn't Metrobank founded by a Yorshire Terrier called ' Sir Duffiield' ( not a real Sir unlike Sir Martin )
