Although options being granted to the board worth £48,000 at a value of 4p is a good thing what cannot be escaped is the sell price has dipped below 3.1p. This hasn’t happened in a long time. When it did last happened the sell price dipped below 3p

I think value is around the 3.2p mark so it shouldn’t dip much further but those looking for returns over the next 2 years may wish to find safer harbours.

I would suggest that if you believe that "1.6M profit from a 745k loss is all the P/L you need" you have never been and never should be near senior management. I would also highlight that your statement "Still 5 million in the bank and growing" is misleading if you have actually listened to the CNSL board. By the end of this next financial year they expect to have £4 million left. So, correct me if I'm wrong old by but 4 is less than 5 and therefore it is shrinking rather than growing. A bit like your credibility. Try harder son.

The presentation was business like and professional. I am worried that the chair stated that they aren't just targeting distributors and going direct to labs. This may be a bit lost in translation but the kiss of death to any distinctive channel is when a manufacturer wants its cake and eat it.

Surprised they have 7 people in the sales team, brought on over the last 18 months. That is a worry. We should be seeing results of this. The sales forecast seems to be managing expectations (I recall before I blocked the toxic green stripe it was banging on about sales growth and some were claiming fantastical sales.). I don't agree with this as it gives the wrong message. They were pragmatic about the share price. This was good because they acknowledged tacitly that the market speaks based on results. Fantasy share price games by the kids DJ and the other idiots is just baffling. The value of the business is around £6 million imo.

Overall it wasn't as bad as Jag in his tracksuit but they should have had the sales director in the room even if he isn't a member of the board and been more specific on how and when they would deliver. The upshot is they seem to be writing off this next year and hope they have stuff together by 2027. No acknowledgment of trading conditions either. That is worrying.

Hmmm. Suffice to say I wont be dipping my hand in my pocket any time soon.

Based on the shareholders that post here I can’t say I blame them for steering clear. As it is rather dull and overcast today I may watch the presentation out the corner of my eye. But fundamentally they have bigger priorities that talk to the crazies.

Creating a sales team then losing a key buyer isn’t great but I think they need a chance even though we have lots of jam. As I posted previously the trade headwinds do not favour them - US tariffs thanks to the orange nonce in the White House and EU regulation and a general approach of buying within make both huge opportunities but also hugely challenging. Unless the director is knocking down doors and hitting the expense account they will struggle. Time will tell. In the meantime the share price isn’t going to do anything of note. This means in reality LTHs will continue to lose money (don’t tell them why - let’s see if they can figure it out)

Notice that none of the lths have anything to say or argue against my points (ignoring the green stripe as I don’t know what it has posted but my guess it is zero to do with the RNS or disputed my assessment that has been proven correct yet again).

I think the board is a good one - better than before at any rate. They have done the right things BUT the danger is they are process minded rather than sales minded. That is why I hope they can provide the funding and support needed to the sales director as this must be the total focus.

It is very disappointed to drop revenue by 15% and then say FY26 will remain the same. Worse yet they say EDITDA will be half that of 2024. Cash burn is expected to result in a cash balance of £4 - although if that means spending of £700k for sales and marketing that is good (you can’t have it both ways).

Sales cycles are long when using a disti model but not that long ! Need some good old fashioned sales incentives and aggressive targets. I would expect to be seeing achievements by now (good pipeline and first agreements in next three months at latest).

I’m intrigued on company value. Ignoring cavendish my valuation of the business means that the share should remain around the 3.25p range. Anyone wanting medium term returns without trying to day trade should go elsewhere imo.

Cavendish have lowered its frankly insane target price. Ignore that. Remember this is paid for.

The key - forecast for FY -8.3m so totally flat. No sales growth.

EBITDA forecast 0.1 so down 0.3m for FY26.

Perhaps the board need to start listening to me.

TL/DR I told you so. Sales is tough and so is the market. LTH - hold only if you’re willing to wait another 2-3 on the chance they understand they’re a sales company.

As acknowedged in the results it takes time to develop an effective sales channel. (Remind me who said that after the last RNS). It’s also true that a company needs to ensure it is right sized and the people within it are performing.

Today’s results could be a photo copy of many ODX statements of the past. They are saying they need two years to see significant growth. Always jam.

But let’s start with the positive. As stated before I think they now have a decent enough board that are at least capable of growing the company. That is a first since I started following ODX. I also think they have the right strategy. The disti and education model is well proven and if done well can drive sales much more effectively than a direct channel model. It does have major risk but that is for another day.

The basis of my view on CNSL remains the same. I am not convinced it has the time, is dedicating enough resources as a result and that it therefore doesn’t deliver shareholder value in the short and medium term.

The results support this.

The UK market is saturated so 9% growth is welcome in such a market. But this is a small and finite pond, even with education. Remember the product has the flaw that it is a one time purchase. Maybe purchased twice by the gullible.

So the the concerns and why this is a sell:

1) The fall in sales growth in the Americas (37%), Africa & Middle East (41%) and Asia and Far East (15%) is astonishing. It shows a company returning to a comfort zone and not being aggressive enough in those markets (ie they didn’t spend enough). The additional fear here is that the regulatory landscape is rapidly changing and competition growing (in part as a reaction to the trade war with the US). These headwinds are significant and cannot be under estimated.

2) Headcount has fallen by nearly 10%. This in of itself is not bad per se. Dead wood tends to build up under lazy boards so this new board are likely doing the right thing. But you would expect these people to be replaced - even in different roles.

3) Spending is not ambitious enough. Sales and marketing spent an extra £100k. That simply isn’t enough. That is a recipe of failure and timidity. Easy to say when you’ve burnt through £500k. But CNSL needs to understand it isn’t a medical company. It’s a sales company. You can fiddle getting your LIMS and QMS humming and making margin gains all you want but unless you get sales in then it is for nothing.

My fear is that CNSL still has an identity crisis and bein FB led by a process guy may not have the commitment to sales and marketing it needs.

It needs a marketing director to support the sales director. It needs to be spending money on boots on the ground and give big bonuses for success. A disti channel is a sales beast when humming BUT it needs constant feeding through incentivising and account management.

CNSL are at a cross roads. They now need to be brave. In the meantime the next two yea

Very true captain. It’s been another woeful day - only 3 trades and now only just clinging to 3.3p.

Like many shares that have lost over 90% of the value it isn’t worth selling and no one of rational mind will buy so it’s in a liminal space.
