Blimey, this looks cheap at 16p with everything ongoing. As they say you have to be in to win. I am taking a punt on doubling my money in the months to come. Nice 100,000 buy there shiws others are confident too.

Topped up another £10k yesterday at 270p. I have been telling myself since May that anything below 300p was a bargain. Still a good income share in comparison with others and longer term one of the safest bets around. My only problem is I keep selling other shares to pick up what I consider a bargain and therefore my portfolio is a bit too heavy here. Hopefully we will see it back above 300p soon which will allow me to rebalance.
So many good bargains out there at the moment but at 270 BP has to be one of the best.
This was 370 when oil was $25 so with oil now nearer $45 surely we should see some movement back north soon.

Decided to take the plunge yesterday and add to my portfolio of covid decimated stocks. . Picked up £10k at 440, longer term it has to be a safe bet if there is such a thing in the market. A good trading update and maintaining a divi shows what confidence the directors have in the future. I was at Royal Troon golf club a few days back and their generation equipment is everywhere as the course is getting ready for the ladies British open golf.

Looks like I jumped too soon but a profit is a profit, I have seen 25% profits disappear overnight in the past couple of weeks in other shares because I got too greedy. This a great long term hold at this price but at the moment there is good money to be made day trading if you can get your timing right...which sadly I rarely do :-(

Bought this morning at 1199, watched it hit 1250 within an hour but was happy to hold. Went to the beach for a swim and checked on phone to see it at 1150, kicked myself for not selling earlier, now just home from my swim to see it at 1260, jeezo, how did that happen.....whatever the spike it was too good not to sell so out for a nice profit in only a few hours....and ih the swim was great too.

When brokers come out with sell recommendations I tend to buy, these guys are just playing a big game in an effort to drive a share price down. I decided to jump aboard today and buying below 1200p I am now looking forward to the cruise back to 1400 +

Sold out this morning as started to get spooked about all these store closures. The market however seems not to be affected by the news, indeed they may look upon it as a good move. Heyho, will watch with interest and hopefully get back in soon.

No matter what way you look at this and the way BA are handling it the simple fact is the shareholders will benefit. BA for too long has been carrying overpaid staff on very good terms indeed. Like with many other companies Covid is going to change all of that. The simple facts are if big changes are not made and PDQ the company would not survive. It may all sound crap but these actions are necessary, to be a successful business you get no bonus points from being nice. Folk are twittering on here about strikes but frankly that aint going to happen, you just need to read the private BA forums to realise that a lot of the staff are actually in favour of these changes. I still reckon anything around these present levels represent a very good bargain indeed. Expect a fair bit of turbulence along the way but just buckle your belts and enjoy the ride. One thing for sure at the end of all this BA will emerge a bigger, better and more profitable company.

IAG giving some great trading opportunities right now. I see this bouncing between 250-350 till things start to move again. In the meantime happy to buy on the dips and sell on the spikes, should I get locked in well that OK too as we will be 400+ by the end if the year.

Hads1991....dire books are already priced in I feel, you dont need to be a rocket scientist to realise that! At these levels just keep buying and come back in a hear, after all what else are you going to do with your money? show me a better way of doubling your money in 12 months. Thise that bought at 180 a few weeks ago could have doubled their money in a few weeks if they sold at 360 last week.

Just checking if anyone still in here. This proving to be one of my more stable and steady Eddie investments. I have had fun trading IAG and BP but this just seems to be happy to continue its slow tick on north. My initial target 1400 and see no real reason why that cannot be achieved.

Look on the bright side, I bet this is the only showing blue in most folks portfolios today! A sea if red out there today.

Centrica PLC on Thursday said it is planning a "significant" restructure, leading to a reduction of around 5,000 roles, to create a simpler, leaner company, focused on delivering for its customers.

Itwillgetbetter.........I tend to agree with you, those vulnerable folk should take extra care and isolate but the rest if the UK should start moving again. There is little point in saving everyone on the planet if at the end of it all there will be no jobs for anyone to go back to. I think the problems that the country going bust will bring to folk is far far worse than this pandemic ever was and something that will take years to recover from.
So many folk will lose their jibs, lose their home because of it and probably end up in a broken up family.
UK PLC needs to get moving again soon before we are all doomed for ever.

DaggerMal, Just done an 8 mile walk and back along the beach...the water felt lovely coming up over the warm sand then the rain came on! I see 350 here very soon and hopefully back over 400 as the boys get flying again, it is coming that is for sure, just frustrating but also proving a good trading op for a few of my IAG holding. Sold a few this morning at 308 to buy some more TPK, then this tanked and TPK just drifted down a little bit. TPK has brought some stability to my portfolio over the past month or so. I have a few ex colleagues that fly with BA ( I fly biz jets now for my sins) and it looks that there rosters indicate they will be picking up more flights soon. Anything below 300 has to be bargain territory here. My buys at 185 a few weeks back was a licence to print money, picked up more yesterday at 295 but never expected to see it back below 300 today. Buy buy buy and come back at the end of the year. You may not win the lottery but buying at these prices is nearly as good as in my opinion. Fortune favours the brave and all that.

After yesterdays fall looking good today for a positive start to the day. Would be nice to close the day above 330p. There is more good news out there than bad, hopefully we have seen the back of sub 300.

Most of the market taking a kicking today, always good to see that as most down days are followed by up days. Hopefully see this finish back near 320, if so bodes well for a move north tomorrow.

Wow, didn’t expect to be able to buy more below 300p. A nice top up there at 295. Hopefully end the day in the blue. Longer term whatever this will be a good buy.
