I agree and after a life working in aviation (plane driver) I think I have a good feel for when to start buying back into TUI. I want to see some stability and that will not come till the RI shares have been bought and distributed. Then and only then will I be happy to commit my hard earned at this. Longer term it is a no brainer but I would rather start to buy when she starts to rise again rather than continue to watch a steady fall. Once the rights have been floated we will all know then what is a fair price for this. Be that £3 £2 or £1 who really knows.

Anditsgone.........not me, shorting is immoral. I would rather buy a share once I know it is a dead cert to go back up. No one can say when that will be as far as TUI is concerned, one thing for sure it is not at these levels. I will start to drip feed once the RI shares have come to market and therefore any further uncertainty about the price should be known. Sorry must dash.....I have a plane to drive, Palma beckons. Sak50........they were a winner for me too but I did have to sell other shares to fund the shares to ensure I got my entitlement of what I thought were cheap shares. In retrospect, I should have sold all my IAG at pre rights then once the new RI shares were floated I could have bought them on the open market as by that time IAG share price fell to 90p which was very close to the RI price. I expect the same to happen here so not planning to buy until I see where the price stabilises once the RI shares are floated.

A lot of folk posting on here about how to obtain their entitlement to “cheap” shares! Nit such a thing as “cheap” shares and if anything like the recent IAG RI issue it will cost you dearly to buy them.
Why not wait till the RI shares are floated and if anything like IAG the share price will end up close to the RI price and you will then be able to pick them up on the open market without having to exercise your rights.
I cannot understand why folk are rushing in now at over 400p when these shares will be massively diluted once the RI shares are on the market.

Ammu......maybe one day you will realise this really is one dog of a share. The markets are flying today but as per normal CNA drags its feet. The looming strike is nit the problem......selling off the silverware to prop up the business and fund the pension fund is really where the rot has set in. Whilst you languish here the rest if the market is racing ahead.....smell the coffee. .

2227......I disagree, a deal will be sorted this week. Neither party will be happy to accept a no deal verdict. The fact they have extended the dead line speaks volumes I feel. I am back in here for the long haul as it seems every home selling like hit mince pies right now. Look forward to hearing the TW trading update....it is going to be a cracker.

A lot if sensible and worthy comments posted on here of late....a pleasant change from some of the abusive crud being posted on other BB’s of late.
Diversity is the key here. Insurance side of the business should support the cruise side and keep the ships afloat till a normal world returns.
Strong customer base where oldies rarely swap and change their habits, be that holidays/service providers/banking/insurance.
We may see 200p tested before 300 again but I am in fir the long haul and one of the better recovery stocks out there right now.

Is that not what got us into this fecking mess in the first place. What a fecking disaster it is all going to be.

Sak.....This serious investor made money too, all I am saying is that in the end the price dropped to such a level that I did not have to own IAG shares pre RI to buy the rights. I could have trotted along after the float and picked up as many as I wanted at close to the discounted price. Easy to say that in retrospect but it has certainly opened my eyes to the fact often in a RI it may not be necessary to be a pre holder to pick up cheap shares. Based on that I will not be buying in here till the RI shares hit the market and we see how the price settles.

Veteran, wrong...nit a trader as such but happy to buy and sell quickly if I see a nice profit. I work in the industry and am keen to see Tui survive as a lot of my ex flight deck crews are now with them. I would be the first to jump back aboard and start investing again with them but at the moment too many unknowns as to what the RI will do to the company.
I got caught up in the IAG rights and that turned out to be a farce as far as getting hold of “discounted” shares was. Once the RI shares were floated you could pick them up on the open market for a very close price to your discount. I am thinking the same may happen here. I will give it another month before jumping back aboard and only once the rights have been floated. I still think we may see £2 quicker than £5 but then what do I know......I only drive these dam planes.

CSD......at least you will be picking up some reasonable divis and they will only get better in time. I would just like to forget about this now for a year and see where we are then......problem is I always get twitchy when I see 10% profit!!

Jed.....very true, will be interesting to see how it pans out though. IAG have used Covid recently to get rid of some of their overpaid staff and reduced the pay of others. I guess only time will tell.

Back in at 1400 today. Looks like copper going to be in big demand for many years to come as we transition to electric vehicles and more wind power.

Back in this morning on that fall. I am hoping long term 1360p will prove to be a good buy.
