Nick........Haha, maybe a good idea. Just as well SYME, BIDS and TEK multi bagging for me. It takes the pain away a little.

Trading update on Thursday. Hopefully then we will have a better idea of the direction the company is going in. My buy back in last week seems to have done the trick of stopping any rises !!!

Thewetbandits.......the shares are not in circulation until they are released to the market at the end of the month. Then and only then will we see the true value of TUI. I will be holding off till these shares hit the market. I expect to see TUI closer to £2 than £4 by then. I learnt my lessons through the IAG offer, I see this performing the same way. Why would anyone buy right now knowing that any purchase now will be dilluted?

The true value of TUI will not be realised till the RI shares hit the market at the end of the month. Buying before that is just a pure gamble....a bit like roulette though more risky. Money to be made here longer term but I will nit buy back in till the first week of Feb.I see these following the same pattern as IAG did.

Pretty sure this will run like IAG did when the RI shares came to market. It worked out better to sell off your RI allocation rather than buying the shares......once the RI shares came to market the share price tanked and fell to within a few pence of the discounted RI share price of 88p.
No certainty that the same will happen here but I will wait to see where we are price wise a week after the new shares hit the market. To me that will be the only safe time to buy.

Just took my profits in Taylor Wimpy and moved them over here. I think this will tick up nicely now as we approach the trading update, the carrot of a divi will bring folk back on board too. I also bought into Redrow a few weeks ago and they update on the 10th Feb and expecting similar results there too. Good luck folk and stay safe.

Great set of results from BDEV today and a divi to be resumed. I expect the same sort of results here on the 10th Feb and hopefully a divi announced at the same time too. Not much not to like about this company at this moment in time. Onwards and upwards I feel as we approach the 10th Feb.

Hi-hi My Aim shares trucking along well.....over the past year I have been putting in any dividends from my FTSE shares into 3 AIM stocks. TEK, BIDS and SYME. I may have an unusual policy to this but I see my FTSE divi money as “free money” and quite often only a few hundred quid so do not mind risking it on risky Aim bets........these 3 all are starting to multi bag for me.

Despite my pessimism about this share I have decided to make a little £10K purchase today based on the fact that on a pretty red day everywhere else and the bad news regarding the strike this continues to tick up and show a little bit of blue.
I am still concerned about what they may have to say in their update on the 21st so I will set a pretty tight stop. In the meantime I will roll with let the trend be your friend. Just watch it tank now!!

Not sure why folk are sitting around here as copper prices continue to reach record highs. I decided to bail out lat November as I realised this was not going anywhere whilst all the other copper companies were leaving this well behind.
I took a hit selling at 645 but picked up ANTO at 1200. Since then ANTO has risen 30% and I still feel there is more to come. No point in hanging around here I feel.

I am still waiting on the sideline before I dip my toe in again. I bought my full allocation of IAG rights but as it happens I would have been better flogging off my rights issues and waiting till the new shares came to the market and then buy back in at the then market price.
IAG rights shares were discounted at 88p but a week after they hit the market the share price fell to near 90p. Not saying that will happen here but will be interesting to see once the RI shares hit the market what price TUI will be. Longer term a great buy but I just hate getting caught up in RI deals.

Not sure when this will run out of steam but sticking with it for a while longer. The demand for copper will only increase as we accelerate the move to greener energy and EV production.

Playingtheodds.......far from frustrated as I am presently streets ahead from where I would have been sitting here. I am just interested to read all the new comments from folk that have suddenly jumped aboard here and think this company is the best thing since sliced bread. As you know I lost my shirt here having slowly added and averaged down over the past 5 years. Like some folk here now I got hooked by what I thought was a company as safe as houses paying a crazy and unrealistic dividend. After 30 years of investing I am still capable of making big big mistakes.....CNA was one of those for me.
Hopefully you will get your wish and see 100p again and a nice dividend once again. For me it was time to move on which I have......too many screaming bargains still around that I feel are a lot lot safer than this. I guess it is a bit like an old boyfriend/girlfriend, once they have gone you always want to know what they are up to......because one day you may rekindle that relationship. Good luck old bean.

Playingtheodds.......we already know how the majority of money will be spent. They need to prop up the depleted pension fund before considering anything else. That was short by £2.4bn back in July so will be interesting to see what the deficit is now. If that is still the case and on present currency exchange rates that leaves about £0.25bn to play with. It always amazes me how many folk invest here without doing any research.

Playingtheodds......depends on the strike and the trading update as to customer numbers. Probably a better chance of seeing 60 before 40 but one cannot rule anything out right now. Just look where we ended during the Summer, a 30% rise in a day when the Energy sale was first mentioned only to end back in the doldrums on poor customer numbers.
Depends what profit you are looking for....most have seen 20% here in a short period of time buying in around 40p so sometimes it is better to bank that. Everyone has their own targets though. Good luck whatever you plan is.

Ant........it is never a bad call to take a profit. As they say a profit is only a profit till it is in the bank. How often do you kick yourself when you don’t take it and the next day the share tanks? Happens to me all the time. I am still sitting tight on this to see what effect the strike and trading update has.....this could easily hit 60p but just as easy be back at 40p.
A good rise here today but all the oil stocks flying both yesterday and today. Just landed in Palma, a nice winters day 11c. Just waiting to see where we have to head off next, could now be a night stop or Geneva early PM, waiting for the company to call back. Enjoy your day.
