Millionaire.....short term movements can be frustrating but I think we all know where longer term we are going. I sold a few at 293 and 303 as I was well overweight in travel stocks but still have my major holding here. Happy to hold for a year or so as I can only see this going one way longer term.
Everything is a lottery right now no matter what shares you buy.

Interesting to see how this reacts once all the new RI shares hitting the market at the end of the week. Bought £10k on Friday at 353 but I think I jumped back in too soon. I still think we may slip sub 300 come Friday.

Just received an email with a link to a free copy of the Saga magazine. The company are trying real hard right now to promote every aspect of the business of which cruising is a very small part. I am confident that the insurance division will be our savour right now.

Hihi........very true, There is always one that tries his best to put others down for suggesting they made money and moved on. As most know on here I lost £180K when I sold late November after being in for years. A few trades in and out since then is all I have done trying to make the most of what for me was a bad situation. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother posting at all.

Istock........that is the plan but just trying to guess the low. I took a wee nibble at 352 but I still think we may see 300 by February. If we see a quick bounce later I will sell, if not I will average down if it hits 300 next week.

IStock.......I saw better opportunities at the time in SAGA, I see more safety there as the cruise division is supported well by the insurance business. I took some profits there yesterday and will await the opportunity to reinvest those profits in here. I will give it another week or so yet though and see where TUI sits at the start of February. I said a few weeks back that I would not buy back in here till the RI shares are released to the market and available to be sold. I still expect this to fall back to the 300p mark once those shares start getting sold off. I could be wrong but I guess only time will tell. In the meantime despite the drop today I am sitting tight on my hands as a bad idea to keep changing tack.

Weyland.........ADVFN is full of school children like Cleverinvestor so I no longer waste energy there.

Weyland.......you can think what you want and I certainly do not feel the need to answer to the likes of you......I lost big time in this company when I sold out at a £180K loss in late Nov. Subsequently I noticed both an opportunity to trade and also buy in for my ISA. I realise now buying back in for my ISA at 51.2 could possibly be a big mistake but I have a stop set at 48 so we will see where that goes. I still think CNA is a dog but sometimes dogs prove you wrong.

Weyland, 21st Dec I bought £20K at 39.85 fir my trading account. I bought some in my ISA on 7th Jan and still hold those. I do not trade on my ISA account . I sold my trading account holding today. No not distracted with anything. My SYME holding doing fine but then I bought in at 0.3 a good while back and will never bother looking till a year or so on. Same with TEK and BIDS. All bottom draw shares that will potentially multi multi bag. The problem with watching all the time is you get tempted to sell too soon.

Decided to bail again after buying back in at just under 40P a few weeks back. 30% profit is only a profit when banked....I feel we may run out of steam here soon especially with the trading statement due next month. A lot of talk on here how we have reduced our debt but in doing so we have had to sell off the silverware leaving us in a very vulnerable position I feel. Will we survive on selling gas and servicing boilers? I guess only time will tell . Mr Konn destroyed this company and sadly I fear it will never again be the company it once was.

Welcome Jubber.......I am waiting till the end of the month to buy TUI, I am still expecting them to fall once the RI shares come to market on the 28th. Long term like SAGA and IAG they have to be a good bet if prepared to wait.

One just needs to look where we were pre covid and ask how sales have progressed since then. Pre covid we were 225 and since then sales have rattled along.....no reason why we should not be back up in that region the way I see it.

Avocet123......sorry to sound like a broken record but still awaiting a sensible response. OK I will shut it now as about to push back for a late one to Geneva.
I will sit this one out till the beginning of February if only to satisfy my curiosity.

MrLong.......I do not hold Tui at the moment, I sold out a few months back at a decent price and therefore I hold no rights. The question I am trying to get over to you is today I have £20K to buy some Tui stock........I see no advantage in buying tiday at 375 when on the first Feb I may pick them up at £2.50 as I am sure the price will fall to near that after the 28Th as all those extra shares come to the market and dilute the share price.

Avocet123.......Well one of us has got it wrong for sure. Anyway I see no advantage buying now until after the 29th. Correct me if I am wrong but surely on that date the dilution happens and therefore the price will drop? Am I missing the point somehow?

MsHorn.........I had 40000 IAG and bought my rights too!! In retrospect I would have been better selling my Rights rather than buying t(e shares as once the discounted (88p) rights hit the market the share price a week later fell to 90p for a few days. If I had sold my Rights instead of buying the discounted offer I would have had a few extra grand then used that to buy the cheap shares once released.
I am not saying TUI will do the same but in retrospect I am holding back and I will buy back in once the shares hit the market on the 29th and then and only then will we all know what the dilluted share price will be.
