RE: Update16 Jan 2019 12:00
Actually, I have been buying more and more of these shares as the share price has tumbled but now it has reached the point that I cannot see any real progress being made, that the original targets are just being ignored and missed continually and the company don't seem to have a clue where they are going. The beta phase was meant to take one month but ended up taking four months. I am beginning to regret buying these even at a discount price as I cannot see any real progress here.
On 15th November we were told:
"At present, both BigDish in beta and TablePouncer are operating. The initial beta phase has produced a variety of operational and technology recommendations, which are currently being implemented.
One of the recommendations was to upgrade the branding for the UK market. Based on feedback it was decided to alter the branding within the UK app. This branding process has started with a change of logo in the UK and will be implemented over the next couple of months."
and then today we are told:
"Coinciding with the launch in Bournemouth, BigDish has also finalised its UK-centric app redesign. This redesign contains a new logo and numerous visual changes based on qualitative and quantitative research amongst UK consumers over the past few months. This redesign is set to be applied to the website over the next 4-6 weeks and will also introduce stability and speed improvements."
So the redesigned logo and other visual changes are still going to take another 4 to 6 weeks. Exactly what have they been doing for the last 2 months then?
And this to follow is some of the biggest bullshit I have read in a while:
"Joost Boer, CEO, commented:
"We could not be more thrilled about taking this major step towards larger UK expansion. Our roll out in Bournemouth and imminent launch in Bristol is testament to the team's tireless work over the last few months.
"The TablePouncer team has done a fantastic job over the last few years in developing Bournemouth's leading restaurant deal platform."
Apart from signing an extra 60/70 restaurants in the UK over the last 3/4 months the "team" have done sweet f*ck all. And as I mentioned earlier today it has taken the Table Pouncer team 3 years or more to seat 127,000 diners in a year which at a rate of £1 per diner gives a revenue of £127,000. That is gross before any salaries, offices, overheads, etc. so hardly an extraordinary performance.
All just my opinion.
