Amerisur have joined in the attempts to start a new petroleum province, they have announced the spudding of their first well targeting the Devonian formation at a depth of 10,000 ft. A good result or positive information on completion ( c 40 days ) will help towards the results ppc achieved from their drilling campaign. Just so posters know I have held shares in Amer, no pump intended

Ha thanks for that lump hammer it gets very wet on quite a few rows at the new Clyde and seamor show, miss the mime artist from old, pre show. Looking to get some more myself if it drops back after the meeting at the weekend, if not definitely before results in May when I should have released on a couple of other shares. The figures should look better with the increase in production, revenue should be up at least. If I'm honest and keep the rose tints off for a few mins I was hoping for a bigger increase total bpd from the last update which tells us the drop off on existing producers is ongoing. Having said that the figure is still going north and we are cash positive and with a few more work overs and some successful fracking in h2 we are moving towards MDT the game changer.

Hi Baysilhope, yes it will suck if Amer come up with the big one but as we know it will also help our cause. I can remember a few years ago J Wardle combing out with the comment " ppc are very brave going in with 3D seismic's in para ". So let's see how they get on with their attempts at cracking the formula. They have to drill under their commitments to keep their vast portfolio para or loose it at a cost of $9m. Any +ve news should be a boost for ppc but as I have said on the Amer board they are terrible at keeping pi's informed, already past spud date with no reason why.

We may get a bit of a free ride on the back of Amerisur, they have just announced they will be spudding their first well on April 12th taking 38 days. Just the fact another company is getting down and dirty is good news anything positive will be a big plus
