Just my view, now the Saudis are starting to inflict great pain on some of their fellow opec members and none opec members with the games they have been playing to wrestle back market share off the shale producers they are now starting to realise what damage they may be doing to the economic situation (slow down) around the world. If some of these oil dependent countries start to fall and banks start to take some major hits from E&P companies we could be heading towards 2007 all over again. So now the Saudis are playing it cool and playing it down so they can say "it wasn't us"

Evening, yes I have noticed the big chunky trades going through the last few sessions or so and like yourself wondered if it is PL adding at these prices. RandyRangard hi matey, we are down at crazy market cap levels for a well run company that has control of its financials. Not been doing much regarding other shares only AVO which is away from the oil sector, tempted to put some back into Amur if it goes much lower. How about you ?

CJ, AEN in that one to, I would think the spread is enough to keep punters away. AVO are developing a Proton light machine for cancer treatment, up and running by the end of 2017

CJ still waiting for the long awaited pipeline over on Amer, at $30 pb it kind of cancels the pipeline out, I was hoping to move some back into here at these prices to average down, something I didn't expect to be doing( in the future)a few years ago but hey ho. Some will go into AVO where I have a holding where making a few bob takes a back seat against hopefully one day in the near future people will get the help to fight the big C

DRichi no brainier that one, trying to guess the bottom of ppc sp to put some more back in is the dilemma. Airlines have absorbed the fuel surcharges that they all hit us with (when oil was high ) into their prices calling it all manner of things, you can bet your bottom dollar that whennnnnnnnn oil goes back up hey presto fuel surcharges will be re introduced on top of the fuel surcharge that Is now known as airport costs, baggage handling tax scraping the rubber off the runway costs

Expected the price drop on the price paid for oil it's the second time, at least this time the devaluation of the pesos has softened the blow. Fully expect the budget in April to take advantage of low fuel prices to kick start duty rises again :( All the best to the presidents men gl

Lumphammer don't forget the extra $3 pb for new production in Argentina, before the gov price reduction they were avg $71 pb with a net back of $50 pb after transport,opex and Corp tax. At the last count we were avg 315 bpd in arg so now we should be c430 bpd and as you say if the trend carries forward maybe 700+ by the end of H1. Moving forward towards the estimated goal of 4500 bpd the fields could produce. Moving forward in a controlled and measured way in a difficult oil environment. All sounds good compared to the carnage elsewhere.
