Exactly ... it's a bad day for shares in general and we've dropped less than Shell percentage wise. A few months ago on your average bad FTSE day TLW would be down 15%. I'm holding, as I think this has turned the corner....

Big sell order stopping the share price going up while they hoover up the shares on the cheap.... not getting mine ...

Every time we've recently seen this type of activity it's been related to a short and the next day we've seen a change in the short positions. I suspect we'll see a short increase or decrease reported tomorrow.

Pictet reduced again yesterday .... could today be the 5th day in a row reduction for them?

These have appeared again today in the L2 console. I can't believe they are sells as such a big sell would cause the sp to drop dramatically. I also can't believe they're corrections, as this is at least the third day they've appeared and I'd be surprised in people made a mistake with such a large amount. That leads me to believe it has something to do with shorts closing.

Pictet reduced (or declared it) yesterday and TLW showed a similar pattern of after hours trades yesterday .... they may have further reduced today.

Auson....thanks....not worried about it. Just think the markets are corrupt and manipulated.
I believe everything goes through cycles and history always repeats itself. So as oil was at record lows last year I thought this was worth a punt and strongly believe this will get to at least £1, possibly £2 if the stars align. At some point in the future there will be a major spike in the oil price. Question is when....but I have patience :-)

Something fishy is going on .... considering this share drops for no reason at all, even when the price of oil goes up, I find it hard to believe that such big sell orders wouldn't cause the price to drop considerably.

Shorters finally realising that no matter how much deramping nonsense they post this is still going to go up.....

Pictet is an interesting one. I calculated (as best I can with the info available and my limited grasp of things), that on a short just prior to Covid earlier this year they made around £2 million profit. This obviously got them excited and when Covid arrived on the scene they smelt blood with Tullow, so heavily increased their short positions. Things haven't gone their way and they have manage to turn this profit into a loss of roughly around £200K. So I guess they're still hopeful that things are not going to go well for Tullow and can afford to hold as their current loss isn't that big in the scheme of things. However, if this gets to 40p (which I think it will) they will see a real loss of around £2 million and if it gets to 50p £5 million. That's when it gets interesting.

I take great delight that they're probably now sweating more than I was when this dropped back to 14p from 37p.

By my inexpert calculations, based on the short tracker website, they've gone from around a £2 million profit on a short early this year to a £500K loss at the current price. If the share price gets to 40p I estimate their loss to be around £2 million. That would be some swing going from a £2 million profit to £2 million loss. At 50p they would have a loss of around £5 million. I wonder how long they can keep this up?

Looking at my numbers again, Pictet also had a 0.54% short on TLW which they closed on the 13/03/2020 which I did not take into account. This would of probably made them up to £2,000,000 profit. So at the current price of almost 31p they're probably roughly break even. Which i guess explains why they recently increased their short, as weren't showing a loss. Although seems they may have managed to evaporate around £2,000,000 profit. Ouch....that's gotta hurt!

All in my uneducated opinion of course.....

I'd say Slift is a bit more intelligent than that .... why would you be influenced by them when they're over a million in the hole?

Also, using the same figures their break even seems to be roughly 22.80p.
