Can't get too excitied about Big Montly Payments as the rascals still owe us in excess of $300m (and let's not forget compound interest back 4+yrs).
Anyone keeping tabs on just how much this was ? - or has it been conveniently "forgotten" as we mustn't upset tribal benefactors.

We have a highly paid (some may say over-staffed) BoD and managment structure stuffed with headhunted "oilfield experts" for such a small company - and yet NOTHING gets done.
Days roll into weeks, roll into months, roll into years.....
At least the salaries dept. and the remunerations committee are kept busy.

Correct me if I err - but we are party to a dubious PSC with the KRG - which Baghdad is less than happy about (and btw now has enough clout over Erbil to enforce that all Kurdish oil sales go via their good selves - since Barz's tilt at a breakaway state fell flat).
Why else do you think that the BoD's plans for field development have stalled - despite cash at bank, suppliers of oilfield equipment eager to do business, protracted arguements over the "Revised PSC" before any spend to increase production as the POO soars - are a tad worrying (you see - poor Jon doesn't know who he should be negotiating the revision with).
Why do you think that none of the IoCs have walked in and bid for us ?
Only guessing, but I think it may be something to do with the above factors.

spiralling poo, threat from IS diminished, collaboration resumed between Erbil/Baghdad, world class lowest production costs, onshore fields with massive reserves, Iraq's pipelines directing our exports away from the Iran/USA hotspot - Kurdish based producers are still going nowhere fast.
Wonder what it will take for a clutch of IOCs to put their money into this region ?
Maybe Rosneft's current visit will result in us all being bought up at firesale prices.

Igor Sechin's (CEO Rosneft) stated policy is one of "global expansion" - and he's ruthless in his approach.
His big mate Putin will back this stratey to the hilt (literally) - the tribal/pilferring/tinpot dictator era we have come to know and love would cease forthwith.
GKP and it's near neighbours would fit right in with a Rosneft strategy for southerly expansion.
Not out of the question that we may be offered Rosneft shares as part of any pending deal.
