Clogau-St David's Gold Mine - Update on Water Discharge Application

The Company is pleased to provide an update further to the announcement on 1 November 2021, which reported that Natural Resources Wales ("NRW") had given notice of its refusal of the Company's application requesting the grant of an environmental permit for a water discharge activity to allow treated mine water from the Llechfraith Shaft to discharge to the River Cwm-Llechen.

Subsequent constructive discussions between Alba management and NRW have clarified the key points which led to the refusal decision. The Company is therefore working to update its submissions to provide certain additional information, with a view to a further consideration of the Company's application rather than the Company having to go through a formal appeal process. Further material updates will be provided as and when they are available.

the is no new news, however the full documents regarding the original dewatering application refusal have been published on the public register, and after reading the contents the reasons for the refusal do not appear that insurmountable, and hence as per GF's previous update, although the habitat licence was refused (causing the dewatering licence to be refused they are in discussions to provide further information and are working with NRW to do so to prevent a full appeal the the welsh government,

The fact they are working with NRW is a positive step forward and after reading the correspondence i am now more than confident a way forward will be found

we must assume that PYC have delivered the results and findings to VAL by the 16th November as per the agreement, i'd imagine VAL will have a lot of work to carry out going through the detail prior to issuing any results, we have seen before that if all the information isn't released there are more questions than answers, I'd rather AL took their time and issued the results in a format that understandable and contain information that is likely to answer most peoples questions if they have any. - these are just my thoughts but we will just have to wait and see , i don't believe VAL gave a deadline for publishing results, only a deadline for receiving the results.

Toatally agree Rodster, even when we get a positive RNS I think certain regulars will try to discredit it

there will be an investor presentation followed by Questions, there may not be any new news as i beleive that would need to be RNS'd, however the questions may lead to some indication as to what is likely to happen in the future, however this Q&A session is an opportunity for any existing and potential new investors to ask any questions they may have before they decide whether or not to invest, I know i'd rather form my own opinion based on what the company and its personal actually say rather than someone either ramping or deramping the share to suit their own agenda.
