I would be interested to know if, during any of his presentations over the last few years, PB has mentioned the company's shareholders and at least indicated that the BoD and he are doing everything they can to protect shareholder investment.

The reality is, as Stas states and I have mentioned many times before, this BoD does not give a flying f**k for the shareholders. So much so that I really do believe that a case could be brought against them for failing this fiduciary duty.

Dh, I think the resistance is ca 25p! Got a bad feeling that, as so many times in the past, all is not right behind the scenes. Hope I am wrong, but the lack of news and scrambling sp would appear to confirm.

stas, you're not allowed to say that because it will upset positive posters. that said, i do agree with you. the bod of this company is not fit for purpose. shareholders have been and remain the furthest thing from their collective minds. it is the old mushroom theory - keep them in the dark and occasionally tip some **** on them.

Forget about sp performance and market dynamics, the story here is the last 4 few years of failed predictions, bumbled acquisitions and, primarily, a President/CEO and board who have shown no concern whatsoever for the shareholders they represent. Indeed, you could put together a case that they have all failed to fulfil their primary fiduciary duties in that regard with the sp falling steadily from 175p to 22p.

Yes, I am a sizeable long term holder and yes, I am underwater at the moment so don't accuse me of deramping with this observation. Like everyone, I believe that the company is seriously undervalued but the facts are that PB and this ridiculous board are the reasons we are at no more than 24p, when analysts and professional pundits think it should be from 100p to 200p.

The stark reality is that the market has no faith in PB and it is going to take something special to get the sp back in the realm of reality.

Stas, I amended the 7.99% discount rate in the model. At 6% (perhaps a more relevant figure) the sp is 180p and at 5% (possible) it is 221p.

What this suggests is that the market has not forgotten nor forgiven PB's previous unachieved predictions and is waiting for real hard evidence of milestones being met, etc before assigning this type of value to the company. If it eventually does, I will be a happy camper!

Now at levels last seen in March 2020. In between, the sp climbed to 175p before collapsing as prediction after prediction was not met. This continues to date.

This is becoming a cluster f**k. A President/CEO who has never really achieved any of his predictions, a hapless, oversized board which appears to have put two fingers up to its primary duty of protecting investor funds, deals signed without funding being in place (i.e. hoped for increase in bank loan for the CB), positive/neutral RNS's which sent the sp downwards and a seemingly non-existent PR programme.

As a sizeable long term holder I am now thinking when do I cut losses and run because the lack of trading volume in this stock suggests that big investors (II's, MM's and funds) are also not sold on PB, the BoD and their stories.

Ss, I am of the opinion that the TXP BoD has no clue about its prime responsibility of protecting shareholder investment, PB has proven that time and time again.

Based on the last few years and watching the sp decline year after year to 23.66p, I would argue that shareholders have a case of negligence against the BoD.

Agreed. Not exactly the most professional when it comes to PR.

But finding it difficult based on the sp, which is back to where it was a couple of weeks ago. Lack of volume suggests that sells have more impact than buys, irrespective of anticipated announcements about drilling and progress on the acquisition. Seems to me that levels analysis is not exactly a solid predictor of sp performance.

... as the President, on the advice of the PM, has declared a state of emergency in view of the escalating gang violence in the country. Not sure what impact this will have on natural resource sectors but could not come at a worse time for TXP.

It has to be remembered that Malcy has viewed TXP as a 200p share for some time and, as someone once posted, a pint and pork pie will generally get him to wax positively about a stock. That is not to say he may not be right in the medium to long term (and I certainly hope so from a personal perspective!) but I thought it would be useful to review the sp over the past 5 year ends, as shown below:

2020 - 125p

2021 - 100p

2022 - 55p

2023 - 43p

2024 - 22p

It does not make happy reading, not least given all that the company has achieved during that period. Indeed, my recollection of most RNS's over the past 2 years or so is that the sp generally declined at or shortly after each announcement. To me this highlights a couple of issues - TXP's p*ss poor public relations and the market's growing need to see real positive growth and results before reflecting the true value of the company in the sp.

That said, here's to 2025 and TXP's good fortune.
