For example the effective ask has risen from 3.71 to 3.88p this morning whilst the increase of spread, plus yesterdays UT close has made it look like the price has moved down.

They are opening up the spread to try and make it look like the price has dropped but it hasn't they are simply trying to get some cheap shares ahead of letting the SP fly up on the news of Tin pricing shooting up

Remarkable and I fully expect 25K to be exceeded soon. If it does then it could herald a full on run on the commodity like the one in 2011.

No you can imagine a lockin period being given for a bucket shop who wants to simply flip them but Duferco is very different and is in these sectors:-

Energy (trading, renewable power production, origination and retail)
Shipping
Industry (steel production and distribution)

They have sold £410K of shares that is all. As I say they probably have their own reasons for doing this - perhaps they are wise to MM antics and are trading against the fabricated booms and busts or maybe they are doing a little top slicing because they have to pay their tax bill. Or maybe they have simply transferred 2M shares to a different account, we might have to investigate the full share register at some point.

The 37Million shares were handed to them in lieu of $6.5M of charges on the CLNs on 18th Dec. They got these at effectively 13p - they sold 2M of these at 20p. Perhaps they had swiss taxes to pay.

Note this is different to the explosion last month at Brunp Recycling Technology where one person died.

I am sure that the Lithium-ion battery industry will say that this is all down to poor safety practises bla bla bla but the reality is that these are intrinsically dangerous devices because they store huge amounts of energy in small volumes and don't need oxygen to catch fire or explode - all the reactants are already in close proximity inside their batteries.
