would people prefer to have a 'happy plodder' who gets on with the job of breathing life into the world's largest Tin mine, or some whizz bang stock promoter (we know who they are) who you wake up to one morning to discover that the whole thing has evaporated in a pile of promises ?

Having seen what Anthony and Fortune created in Bushveld Minerals and knowing the family background that Anthony comes from I am more than happy to have him running the show on my behalf. If people don't like making money exciting enough then they should try bitcoin or gambling on whether the USD/EUR is going to go up or down today.

Anthony mentioned that there was doubt around the role of Tin from Myanmar due to the coup there. For the record Myanmar is the third largest tin producer in the world, with around 50,000 tonnes per year (over 15% of the world's total). Imagine what would happen if their Tin exports were blockaded as a reaction to the coup.

Out of curiosity I thought I would compare Afritin's Lithium resource with that of Zinnwald

Afritin : 71.54 million tonnes at 0.63 % lithium oxide for 450,265 tonnes contained lithium oxide (inferred)
Zinnwald : 35.510 million tonnes at 3,519 PPM LIthium grade implying contained resourced 665,238 tonnes Lithium Carbonate Equivalent (Measured & Indicated)

The key point is the fact that Li2O is roughly 2.5 times as rich in Lithium content as Lithium Carbonate (2.473 to be exact) - thus the Afritin resource represents 1,113,505 Tonnes LCE

Or to put it another way Afritin's Lithium resources is approximately 1.67 times the size of Zinnwald Lithium's. Perhaps someone should point this out as an interesting question to the v ox markets interviewer.

wow what a revealing graph. LME tin stocks being very rapidly exhausted - much faster than the previous minimum stock level a couple of years ago.

That would make sense if covid, etc has impacted supply whilst demand has remained largely unaffected - it seems we are rapidly nearing the point where no stocks are left and then you can name you price. I suspect that USD 30,000 will easily be breached in that scenario.

Is showing a lot higher prices - a rise of 10.8% today whilst it is 2.3% here. Does anyone understand why this is so different and what it might imply ? I've never seen such a large discrepency on this before.

Can anyone recall what Miton's position might be now - were they on the list of large shareholders last time out ?
