What is interesting is that maiden petalite production of 4% Li2O in 38kTpa in 2022 will be equal to 1500 Tonnes of Li2O which is 3,750 Tonnes Lithium Carbonate Equivalent.
Put this alongside 'pure' Lithium projects such as Zinnwald (7,300 tonnes LCE) you will see that not only does the Uis mine produce more than 50% of the dedicated Zinnwald project in just its first year it also does so at only $54M capex (Zinnwald $178M USD).
For that investment we also get an additional 200 tonnes of 60% Tin concentrate plus almost 60 Tonnes of 22% Ta2O5 concentrate.
After phase 2 at Afritin is completed it will be producing 156 kTpa of 4% Li2O which works out at 15,600 tonnes LCE - more than double the size of Zinnwald, a dedicated Lithium project that currently has a MC about the same as our own.
