5) Energy storage is necessary to balance fluctuating power demand with fluctuating power supply. In the past electrical grids only had one option for energy storage - hydroelectric, which is fine if you live in the wiggly bits like Norway but not if you live in the flat bits.

6) Fortunately battery storage has come on hugely and at just the right time. Lithium ion batteries are light and good for cars. But they burn and are needed for cars, so Vanadium flow batteries are the best solution for stationary energy storage

7) Vanadium is more earth abundant than Nickel, Chrome, Zinc and Copper but we mine it at a rate of only 1/100th the rate of those other metals. We didn't have any reason to mine it any faster before - but we do now because Vanadium flow batteries only need a single metal to operate and that is Vanadium

Daisydog - do you really think that making a market is a charity business ?

No here are the simple facts

1) Market makers have to sell shares - if there is buying pressure then they move the price up so that they can get the most for those buys

2) Market makers then need to deliver those shares. They do not manufacture shares so they have to buy them back from the market.

3) The Market makers control the price

4) If they cannot get the shares that they want at the price that they want then they can go hunting for stop losses or leveraged buys at lower prices.

5) If that doesn't work and buying pressure returns they have to suck it up temporarily, and try and go and sell more shares at higher prices in order to increase their average short price

6) Market Makers will not make a loss

If you don't like any of this then that is by the by because it is not going to change these facts.

Libero - I have very carefully monitored all the trading for a number of years and there is clear evidence of market maker short selling. Libero - as I explained previously this is simply a function of the way that the AIM market works - the Market Makers can set whatever prices they like, and they systematically use this power to short sell on the companies they are dealing in the shares of. Like scalpers outside the gates of a music venue they accept buys when the buyers are around and then drop the prices in the following few weeks when they assume that they can get those shares back from disgruntled investors.

This strategy does not work if nobody will sell them the shares that they need. In this scenario they are forced to drop the price even further in order to try and force sells out of those people who have been foolish enough to think that they can buy long positions using leverage on spreadbet platforms. Someone has to pay the Market Maker and in this case it is those people, not those who are in control of their own share holdings and have done their research.
