one thing which many may have missed is in one of the comments that relates to battery storage:-
"There is a proposal for distributed energy storage allocation to match the allocation for embedded generation. "
The amount of embedded generation is 500MW per year from 2023 to 2030 - that is 4000 MW.
If we take this 'proposal' at face value then that could add 4,000 MW of energy storage to the 2,100 MW explicitly listed. It partly depends upon what we mean by 'match' ( a) match means identical numbers or b) match is interpreted to mean, for example a 2MW PV plant might be coupled with only a 1MW battery so that only a 1MW transmission line can be used)
