I'm not convinced Harris would beat Trump. We haven't heard much more off her than we have Biden in the last 4 years. Gavin Newsom would be better in away. Even if its because the right are more likely to vote for a man. But like you say the rest of America do not like Californians. The economy there isn't doing well, big homeless problem. Trump would attack that.

I don't think a Trump presidency would be good for anything. Its unlikely he's going to get the Ukrainians, Europeans to agree on anything he puts forward. Which would involve Ukraine giving up territory in some form or another. Hes more likely to course more division and uncertainty. But then again he may increase aid to Ukraine and get the job done quicker. Who knows what goes through his mind? I don't think he does.

If Biden or the Democrats win its likely they'll give Ukraine what they need to win. They can't do that now coming into an election.

I also read that the Emir of Qatar told Putin in Kazakhstan he'd have to give up the territories he's taken to achieve peace. When the tide changes it could change quickly. Get in now while its still below a quid.

Very true marionette. As Buffett said ‘you can’t make a good deal, with a bad person’. Doing any deal with Putin that allows him to keep any Ukrainian territory totally disregards the people that have been living under Russian occupation. Mass graves around Mariupol, children missing, young men forced into the Russian army, property sold off or given to Russians etc etc. Putin would use the time to re build his army and attack again. Maybe in 4 years after Trump has gone. There will be no real peace as long as Putin is alive. The West should have come up with some real strategy by now of what Ukraine needs to succeed.

Medium term however a ceasefire would do FXPO some good. I’m not totally convinced Trump is going to win. If you look at the percentage of the population that wants to vote for him it’s not actually that high. Same as the Labour Party here. It’s just no one liked the opposition that much either.

Putin is more worried about another democracy being on his border. Paranoid dictator that things he's a superpower and can dictate to other countries what alliances they can make.

Rubbish Tremen. There wasn't a coup in Ukraine it was the Ukrainian people exercising their right to elect their own leader. Putin can't handle another former Soviet state becoming a democracy and part of the EU. That's what the war is about. To Putin the battle between democracy and autocracy is fair game.

You need to understand the geopolitics more and make up your mind which side you are on.

Second point, I think q2 results are going to be good. Maritime traffic has dropped of a lot over the last 3-4 weeks though. I think electricity supply is going to be a big issue going forward.

I’m not optimistic of any major appreciation of the share price in the near future. Keep accumulating if the legal issues get sorted out. When the Russian scum have had enough this will be worth a mint.
