Snowking,
It’s not entirely out of the question that Tianyi could take over from Canmax, given that it’s jointly owned by Canmax and CATL
Alternatively, Canmax might choose to support Premier indirectly through Tianyi, especially if the plant shows strong production potential after the upcoming modifications
“ Yibin Tianyi Lithium Industry Co., Ltd. (also known as Tianyi or Tyeeli) is a Chinese lithium chemical producer jointly owned by Canmax Technologies Co., Ltd. and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL), among other partners.
Canmax Technologies, formerly known as Suzhou TA&A Ultra Clean Technology Co., Ltd., has progressively increased its stake in Tianyi over time. In February 2022, Canmax acquired an additional 7% stake in Tianyi, raising its total ownership to 75%.
CATL, China’s largest electric vehicle battery maker, is also a significant shareholder in Tianyi. As of the latest available information, CATL holds a 15% stake in Tianyi.
Therefore, Tianyi is primarily owned by Canmax Technologies and CATL, with Canmax holding a majority stake”
