I remember that moment clearly, it was a major misstep, though not the biggest. The real missed opportunity was not raising £20 million at 1p. To this day, it’s hard to understand why that chance wasn’t taken
At the time, with roughly 26 billion shares in circulation, raising £20 million at 1p would’ve meant just a 7.14% dilution, an additional 2 billion shares. In hindsight, it was a small price for long-term stability
Instead, the path George took led to a share count rising by nearly 78.73%, now sitting at approximately 46 billion. During that same period, the share price has dropped around 96.9%
And yet despite everything, George remains CEO. But there’s a silver lining - it seems the reins have finally been taken from his hands, and with that, a new direction may now be possible
The future, at last, is starting to look brighter
