What about beyond just cancer treatment? A partnership with Daewoong Pharmaceuticals to form Affyxell is looking into having mesenchymal cells either express or secrete proprietary Affirmers to target conditions like MS, type 1 diabetes, graft versus host disease (GvHD) and solid organ transplant rejection.
The possibilities to come from a platform which is already proven to be safe and effective are truly mind blowing.
It is absolutely baffling to me that others cannot understand the immense value and opportunities Avacta offer, and try to smear a team of world leading scientists tackling oncology’s most difficult problem. Clinicians and big pharma definitely won’t miss this though, and in the end that’s what’s going to matter.
Ask yourself this: if you or a loved one was diagnosed with a soft tissue cancer, would you want the naked drug with a track record of life-ruining (and potentially life ending) side effects, or AVA6000, which can be given at a higher dose, more frequently and for longer, with vastly reduced side effects. I know what I’d be asking for - and that’s before we have data from the official efficacy studies, which I’m certain will show hugely favourable outcomes.
This company will genuinely change oncology forever, and improve both the treatment outcomes and quality of life for patients going forwards.
I think I speak for all clinicians, patients and shareholders when I say that we are all behind the entire team - from CEO to lab technicians - and cannot wait for their continued successes to be published.
What a few months and years we have coming up!
