Thebigshow you asked me a question about EBITDA on the Avacta bored.
Just to clarify the reason its not important for Avacta is because they'll never make a profit. Nobody is interested in the revenue growth of the now disposed of diagnostics division. The soul focus now is on the precision oncology platform. The value of the company is in the IP and what investors want to see is clinical trial progress as the better the data, the higher the likelihood and higher a buyout will be. Within next 18 months investors are expecting a buyout for between 10 & 50bn so given current market cap is just 200m you can hopefully see the investment case.
At company's like audioboom its different business model.. investor want to see the company growing revenue and then converting that into free cash flow. That's not happening but I will say... YET. It might but when? And let's say company start generating free cash flow, what would be a reasonable valuation for it with say 3m FCF? and what percentage of the revenue is FCF? I.e. how efficiently are they converting and growing. That's what's lacking here right now and that's why I don't like this type of company posting "Adjusted" EBITDA as it smacks of still being miles away from tangible FCF
