Not going to argue that technological change does not a play a big factor in how materials may be used and valued, but graphite is in far wider use than just car batteries and Graphene, so obsolete within 5 years may be a tad OTT.

Also the new silicone battery technology, as far as I understand, still has barriers to overcome regarding cost, as well as other battery technologies always in development. It seems far more likely to me you will have different technologies running concurrently with varied pros and cons for a while, especially considering how far ahead car designs usually are.
However, this may be why Alba have focused most of their info releases since the end of last summer on Thule, HH and Clogau,..... We will see.
