Cofe - DZ has no interest in alba and never held shares here. He and his negative gang are probably the same Person. Their joint arrival on this board is like clockwork. I hope he never posts here again. He has posted so much crap here he was bound to get something in the right ball park and i am not sure this even counts as that. Alba is v high risk play we all know that, we often mention Bluejay here as if they have already made it and they still have significant processes and obstacles to overcome. I don't need vacuous and tedious nothing one line BS from a the likes of DZ to inform me.

In town retail is far from dead, but certainly multiple challenges lie ahead from possible Brexit fallout to the unwavering growth of huge online competitors like Amazon. Debenhams still make money and have a lot of loyal customers, if they steamline and focus their high street operations successfully (no reason why they cant) while building up there online presence there is a very good chance of this becoming a good recovery stock. I try not to pay much attention to SD/MA issue as fundamentals in the end will dictate and it is hard to second guess their plans.

How all the same negative posters always turn up together...... So transparent. As always never actually discussing anything of relevance.

Had a listen now. Not the best interviewer is he - not sure he new much about Microsaic. But overall paints a good picture. Seems they want to continue developing their tech and building partnerships/relationships, which seems to be going well. Gave an honest appraisal of sales suggesting no fireworks this year but that their strategy could really start to pay off through 2019 - that was how i interpreted it anyway. I am optimistic about the chances of good SP growth here as more deals/partnerships are announced.

Agree dsfat - also i only recall one ot two stating specific sp by certain points and don't think they were regulars on this bb. I have frustrations here but as dsfat points out WO your negative slant is just an inverted version of the mid year sp predictions you are so scathing of. At such a low mcap it is not controversial to speculate the sp could move rapidly on good news. Equally with no income and lack of news or even bad news there will be a downward pressure on the sp, but with several projects that can provide news, cash for the next year in the bank and again such a low sp we are probably close to the bottom for now.

Hi JF - to be honest compared to some of the boards i go on nice to have a few posts rather than loads of people ranting, arguing, ramping and deramping etc. The promise of similar (or larger) future dividends should limit the slide (as long as no more big issues with Russia) and eventually stimulate sp growth. If nothing wrong in the background i am sure some sort of positive trading update and political stability should steady any institutional investment nerves. I have only been in here a few months though so not familiar with how often they keep investors updated.

I cant really find anything bad recently published about them - few weeks back IC did an article on them maybe being interested in rare earths in future but all pretty vague stuff. So either something we don't know or perhaps continuing uncertainty after the Russia nonsense and continuing political uncertainty.

Me too (will email them) they respnded to me earlier this year but nothing meaningful and took a couple of weeks.

Anyone emailed them? Probably get a generic nothing response but may be worth a go.

I think all the signs are great, yesterdays RNS was one of the most detailed I have seen, even if it did leave me a little bemused at first. They look like they have an ambitious focused vision for the company. They have just diluted by over 50% and the SP had held quite well today considering. I would be surprised if those in around 1p would look to bank profits now - lots of opportunities to top slice already. However i doubt we will see big rises until specific figures and deals become apparent but I am optimistic we will see some decent growth in SP through the rest of the year once the dust settles.

To be fair, every AIM company i have had shares in that has had a significant share issue seems to have this hard to follow trading pattern in the following days/weeks that only often seems to have minor SP impact. I have never quite understood how it works to be honest.

Agree - what are our oil consultants doing - hopefully looking though that info so Alba can do their own RNS.

So we will have a mcap of around 9m, assuming a couple of million left in the bank already then at current sp the market would be valuing the business at 2m ish. All a bit crude and obviously they have raised the cash to spend but with all the distribution deals announced recently and comments on sales exceeding last year already then i think we can still feel pretty hopeful of sp growth - likely some instability while this fund raise is digested but they seem to have clearly sign posted where they are taking this company

I think it suggests a high degree of confidence and one would assume backed by major shareholders and the bod, which the first RNS seems to suggest. But i think a bit of a surprise for some of us - a fund raise significantly above current mcap.... Not sure i have come across that before. At 2p though so again another sign of confidence as close to current sp. Interesting times ahead. I see this as a positive but concede i have no idea how the market will judge it - any drop off and i will top up initially though.

That's a beefy bit of fundraising - rather caught me off guard. Hopefully a positive development suggesting major developments are around the corner........ Hopefully.

Brockham sidetrack decision has now been moved to early July I think by Surrey CC. Although they have never given a date for Clogau commercial start, they have described it as near term potential and in interview when pushed GF reluctantly said this year was not impossible but was clearly not keen on being that precise (interview just after we had picked up the mine), so I think 2019 seems the aim there (pretty sceptical of this I have to admit) Amitsoq I am a bit lost on really ... exciting new potential discovery v "moratorium" on expenditure there...... I am keen to find out more about Inglefield. Wish some clarity on the exploration JV at Melville Bay was available (last described as "desk top" based work/assessment. I have some frustrations here but I think a lot of mining and exploration companies are pretty vague with timescales ect as so many unpredictable elements involved, so credibility can be quickly destroyed, although you could argue the lack of really clear forward plan also achieves the same end. Still enough for me to hold on here but really need some definitive news.

I had expected a gradual climb back to 850-900 as the reasons for the earlier higer sp remain intact - may just take a while for full confidence to be resumed - it did take quite a buffeting, despite not being directly connected to the diplomatic/political fallout. Maybe it will take good news flow and production/trading updates to keep ticking up - either way a very healthy dividend that appears reasonably secure.
