Perhaps but if you spend 30m on it maybe better to go alone - apparently not as costly as other forms of mining. Dig it from surface, refine/process and sell! Or you sell off for loads of cash (maybe an ongoing cut)

If TBS anything like Bluejay's adjacent £1 billion Dundas project likely to need 20-30 million to get where they are now (200 odd million mcap) but much easier from an sp based on that kind of income and tbs JORC of potentially several hundred mill and not including news on Clogau, Inglefield, Amitsoq, Brockham etc.

Most of us are probably hoping for a maiden JORC for TBS (sat next to Bluejay's recently upgraded £1 billion resource estimate for their Dundas project).

Also many overlook the 5% Alba own at Brockham, basically next to HH and should soon get necessary Ts crosssed with Surrey CC to test the sidetrack there.

Brockham - someone on the Angus board suggested Surrey CC meeting now put back to August, if so i think that is the third time it has changed but no comment it seems by Angus or Alba to update shareholders.

Yes COFE, after feeling pretty low on Alba, but not the funds to really go for it so just picked up 300k at 0.27.

Like dsfat i received (eventually) pretty decent responses from Alba. Recommend emailing them but maybe in a methodical way rather than a rant.

As i said a few days ago i beleive there needs to be more confidence and personality in the news flow, but we have to be realistic - you are not going to get Apple style marketing and i have shares in sevaral companies and only a couple are good at PR - on the B2B side of life most businesses assume the market is able to digest the RNS releases and probably think PIs worth their time are fine with this.

Where you have a comapny with products and services to shift they are naturally more adept at this side of things.

GGP flying high at the moment - they RNS their important info, Tweet a bit, do a few interviews and have a website. Same as Alba.

Agree Alba have to offer more detail - HH flow test cash you mention a good example.

As for WO - got no time for those that just insult or seek to provoke genuine posters - dsfat has contributed probably more useful info than anyone on this board.

WO describing Alba's attempts to promote the company as doing FA is bullocks.

Ineffective while lacking structure and focus at times fair enough, but one of the issues they face is the the size of the company, amount of personnel and resources available.

They got align research in to try and address this and many on this board criticised the action when it was clearly necessary but did not deliver what was hoped for with investor sentiment.

As i posted the other day, trying to copy the cult of UKOG approach in my view is not the way forward.

Re GF and HHDL board - you will need to educate me on this - what is the relevance to Albas pr output?

I know not many of us PIs are that enthusiastic for Clogau, Amitsoq seems to have dropped of the radar a bit (i am sure one of the main factors for many of us being here) and Inglefield is very intetsting but so early stage and so on.

But TBS and HH offer so much upside for Alba and yes risks as always but much more than just a blind rainbow chase.

Without any positive news at all on all their other interests we could still see substantial gains just on good news at HH and TBS by Autumn.

All adds to my confidence in holding these. Wish i had a bit spare to add a few more, if anyhting else pays off short term may use profits here.

This is bewildering really but to some extent pointless comparing to UKOG - that is like a weird cult and its followers are convinced UKOG is going to save post Brexit Britain.

No point Alba trying to replicate that one line story in my view. I thought they were heading that way with some of the blurb put out after they took on Clogau. Glad they did not continue it.

They do not need to increase what has so far been ineffective PR. They need to find something that can cut through the noise some how and I am not really sure how. Perhaps some sort of personality has to come from somewhere with a very clear message i.e. TBS is going to be massive, get on board. HH will be great - cheapest best value entry here.

Saying all that, if they come out with a JORC for TBS this year in the same ballpark as Bluejay's (recently upgraded to £1 billion) the SP will fly. If it does not i will give up here.

I am hoping that they appreciate they need to try and address how the company is widely perceived and hopefully we will start seeing a more proactive approach to banging the Alba drum.

Great news - well ahead of schedule - i had thought August would have been good going.

"Polymetal International said on Tuesday that it has started up its new Kyzyl mine in Kazakhstan ahead of schedule and below budget.

The mine successfully produced first gold concentrate on Monday and the company achieved the start-up of the concentrator a quarter ahead of the original schedule that was announced in 2014 and a month earlier compared with the January 2018 updated plan.

In addition, Polymetal said project capex is expected to be around 3% under the original $325m budget, inclusive of 62m tonnes of pre-stripping.

The group plans to produce 80,000 troy ounces of payable gold this year, ramping up production to 280,000 in 2019 and 330,000 thereafter.

Group chief executive officer Vitaly Nesis said: "Polymetal is delighted and proud to successfully complete the largest development project in the company's history ahead of time and below budget. Significant cash flow and net income contributions from Kyzyl should start in Q4 2018."

The upside does seem significant - would have thought it has all the ingredients to attract the usual swarm.

Low mcap, funding in place, deals announced, growing sector that is already a billion dollar market, unique patented tech, quick moving price (not much buying required to inject upward pressure) etc etc

Perhaps they just need to find some better ways of banging the drum and attracting more investor interest.

I finally got around to reading his update on Bango in IC. Nothing particularly insightful in his comments but he does seem confident and get the impression he is well connected there so all looks good.

I like Bango as i feel that payment processing (from convenience, security and use beyond simply accepting money for commercial development) is something many companies are looking at. I work for a decent sized sports goods manufacturer/distributor that is seeking more direct channels for selling and we have found established payment systems tricky to integrate administratively and costly. I can see these kinds of platforms with potential way beyond app stores and and not just in developing countries.

Great potential here in my opinion and seems a really well run company that are very responsive to investor queries.

Thing with Alba is you are investing in a very small company with a very small team, that have accumulated some very interesting licences/assets. That is why we are here isn't it - chance of seeing big returns from small beginnings.

The downside to this is they are either out proving up the licences or reporting back info and assessing the finances etc. This inevitably leaves gaps in communication and what to us PIs appears as a lack of effort in courting investor sentiment.

So to get round this they of course pay for likes of align research to help cultivate investor interest which as yet has not paid off, but the criticism of going through that process from shareholders (maybe some not so invested as they implyl) seems quite frankly just daft. They do not have the internal resources or personnel to generate the interest we crave.

I think the 2 fund raises which unsettled many of us were probably securing OGA requirements as well as Greenland funding - I think they scored an own goal in terms of Info output here which was magnified by the appearance of Spreadex. In the end though this is irrelevant.

If by this time next year we are looking back at successful testing at HH, a JORC for TBS in the region of Bluejay's and some firm info on mining at Clogau we will be doing so from a much greater sp than now in my view. While possibly looking forward to testing of the Sidetrack at Brockham and more info on Inglefield.

The more i think about the disparity between ukog and Bluejay to our sp, the funding for the next year in place and potential news flow, the more i feel confident about Alba's postion - despite feeling pretty fed up for the last couple of months.

I have had contact back from Alba now after a couple of emails and i think they do recognise they need to promote the potential of Alba more effectively so hopefully we will see progress in that in the coming months too. I think they are all genuine people involved that are spread very thinly - you dont get money for nothing very easily so for those of us that believe in the potential here, i think we are just going to have to endure the bumpy ride. I hope to buy a few more next week while the price is this insanely cheap. Not even 10m mcap and potentially sitting on an asset of similar proportions to Bluejay's recently upgraded £1 billion JORC for their Dundas project. Wallet watering stuff.

The real work for Alba is proving up those licenses and that is where i want their focus really - but hope in the meantime they can find a better way of luring new investors.
