Agree, begs the question for me, as it has for many others, why on earth would the BOD not communicate at this point? Sorry, this stinks whichever way you look it at. Money rules in the end.
If a company can invest and hedge at the same time then this is a long game that everyone except PIs are in on. I think, actually, it's as simple as that. Everyone on the inside makes a mint, PIs stress out and lose money. The end.
It doesn't particularly feel that market regulation is very effective would be my observation on two years of AIM investment! I fully expect the MMs having taken their profit driving the SP down will then happily ride it all the way back up. Though who knows? I don't understand how any of this is remotely legal - particulary noting Aqua's post below.
Shorters all along have posted this would go down to 10p. I found that an insane idea 9 months ago. Now it looks to be headed in that direction. What is it they knew back then that we didn't? Financing? Timing of Spirit sale and potential for spooking investors ... Whatever it is we'll find out soon enough. Won't be topping up until see where the bottom falls.

"(Reuters) - Resolute Mining Ltd (RSG.AX) said on Wednesday it will sell its Ravenswood Gold mine for up to A$300 million ($207 million) to a consortium led by resource-focused private equity firm EMR Capital. The consortium also includes Singapore-listed Golden Energy and Resources Ltd (GOLD.SI), and both firms intend on pursuing the Ravenswood Expansion Project, Resolute said. Resolute Mining started a review of the Queensland-based mine last year as part of a drive to shift its focus to projects in Africa. "
The interesting bit to me is: "and both firms intend on pursuing the Ravenswood Expansion Project" also that the reason for selling seems to be focus on Africa rather than any concerns re. funcitoning in Australia re. climate change related issues - water preservation, fires etc. It takes a lot of water to mine!
Longwait, clearly this is not your only investment (I do hope not, at this stage in any case)!
I guess they had their reasons, I'm surprised they're allowed to do this at such short notice given it is likely to have an impact on trading / investment. As to the effect on anyone, minimal to negligible at the moment I should think, given the small amount involved.

You're right, according to the 19.12.19 interview with David Price on Sharetalk:
"Targets for growth of the gold resource have been clearly identified and Rockfire plans to recommence drilling as soon as possible. The recent exercise of warrants has provided additional drilling capital and our technical team has already started planning for the next phase of drilling.”
More news flow should be imminent (well next few months) so we can expect to see further rises in the short term on positive news.
Not convinced it's going to bounce at the moment and hold that rise. Will turn in the right direction at some point between now and September - like you I can't see a solid enough reason not to continue holding based on Lancaster alone with Lincoln pending.
JAdam,
Can relate to the pain being expressed. I wish I had more free to invest at the moment, bit sickening watching it drop to these levels and not being able to take advantage of it have topped up in the early 30s. On the flipside perfect opportunity for those that trust the fundamentals here.
I don't really understand the negative posting here. Rockfire have clearly stated the next phase is putting a mining programme together which will take time and, as other posters have noted, we are looking at 12 months minimum to progress to the point where the potential can be more clearly evaluated. It's sit back and wait time for now and so inevitably until further income generating news arrives the SP will drift - a buying opportunity, surely, at these levels or perhaps much lower in the interim!
Thanks Jiffy, yes I'd like an update on strategic direction ie. which well next, what they plan to do with the rig to prevent idle time etc. Also I would appreciate a stronger rebuttal on the current argument being used to drive the SP down re. and I'm not going to repeat it here.
Maybe we could focus on pulling together the key points we feel we don't have answers to for CMD. Appreciate these have been listed over many various posts in the last few months but perhaps following on from the last RNS on 13.12.19 - what would we like to know?

Thanks, no doubt all the motives you mention and then some. Roll on a point in time when doommongers will no longer be credible.
One line. A question I repeatedly ask myself of certain posters here and elsewhere, what do you have to gain by maligning the reputation of Dr Trice? As clearly (OK two lines) that is what you intend to do. To what end?
This now seems to be lining up very well. Holding long term now to see potential realised. Have topped up in dips over the last few months and look forward to good news at some point this year!
Adfvn posters have the right idea today, have turned water in whisky!
