I feel we should be concerned re. your post of 18.23 ... though it's the thought that counts, so thanks. I hope I don't live to regret posting that.
Seen this kind of deramping and worse, much worse on other shares. This is a long term hold, meaning tune out the noise and give it at least five years to mature to fruition. I guess we're a few years in now already, so if we see rises to the 20s and up this year very nice. If not maybe next year. Checking this daily for SP is pointless unless you want to top up in which case - be grateful for the current price!

"hence they can attack with impunity for the time being!"
yup and will do until CMD, dependent on whatever, no doubt cracking update we get, they'll be right round the corner for the next opportunity that presents and so it will go on until the turning point when they make more money from going long and risks are mitigated enough for them to do so.
Have just listened to his 8th Feb podcast. Sounds, on balance, quite fair. JW still believes in the company but given the New Summit payment etc. and resignation of DT etc. has just said he's out because it's not yet a cash generating company. He quite clearly said when it is he'll buy back in on the drop after the next spike. He had no issue with Dan or the potential of the company and quite fairly said what many of us think anyway, China doesn't have the best track record in honouring deals. Clearly JW is not a LTH and a trader but then fair enough. We're all here to make money at the end of the day.
You do overreact a bit on this board!
As someone pointed out on Advfn - Hurricane might be able to afford to buy Spirit in the not too distant future if they carry on producing and selling as they are and anticipate.
Just saying ... Always look on the bright side and all that!
Buyinmay and Wellwell
Yes he made quite a few friends on these boards, particularly over on II. A good man.
Buyinmay
How strange you post that today, was thinking of Happy to Learn only a few hours ago and hoping he'd got out at a good price so his wife wouldn't have to stress over this share. I'm afraid I agree with Wellwell, his diagnosis didn't sound hopeful, I and a few others have quietly come to the conclusion he's either spending his time much more happily or no longer with us.
Yes, well spotted JB, you might be on to something there!
BB
That's lovely, couldn't be happier for you both.

"I prefer Kayaks"
Well it takes all sorts BB, not judging ...
Should add, MMs with access to quite frankly 'inside information' can foresee the weak points ahead and exploit them and this I believe is exactly what they've done and more. Add to that - if someone has an interest in getting the SP down for whatever reason, they can bring many, many houses into play to deal - hedge funds and the like in such a way it's all under the radar. No doubt in my mind this is exactly what's been in play over the last year I would say. Easy money for psychopaths.
Longwait
Same, never imagined this. It's now crystal clear to me the only rational explanation is leaks via Spirit or Centrica being used by MMs. As to shorts - you're only looking at what's declared in bulk percentage to the required limit - as Temple of Doom quite rightly points out - there are many, many companies sharing the work here and as long as they are under the required limit to report they can short away - sharks out there Longwait, nasty folk only interested in their bonuses at the end of the year.
Temple of Doom
"You don't know how many shell companies"
Spot on. Many arms at work here behind the scenes.
Bartle, off to the golf course, build a matchstick yacht, you need a distraction from this board ... really, it will make you so much happier!
Seriously, I trust my own instincts. Money is to be made here all round. If it goes down to 10p so be it. More profit when it goes back up to 80p plus ...

'Watch this space' - indeed, things change and quickly!
Longwait - MMs short btw!!!

Re. fraudulent activities / opening price 4p - completely agree. I've personally written China off. If New Summit come good then all credit to them but sounds like agreements were not properly formalised or approved by the right people even if in writing or we wouldn't be in this position right now.
Onwards and upwards - the company can do without that style of working. Good luck to the new chair and let's let them get on with the real business.

I'm becoming more inclined to think any leaks were via Centrica, first, Spirit, second - doubt from Hurricane's side, not in their interests until discussions concluded. Something else also at play taking advantage of the situation, lots of money to be made here on millions of pounds of trading a day.
