It seems increasingly likely that governments will soon be getting under the skin of the big techno companies by demanding more tax.
For their part, they will do whatever it takes with evasive action e.g. going out and spending money.

It's an open field, but Facebook have worked alongside Melody, they live near them in LA, and significantly, they have a cash pile of $40billion. So they are probably not interested in messing around with 100million 'NextVR style' fire sales.

How it affects Melody's 5G partnership with O2 depends to what extent Huawei have been involved.

But it's not the end of the world. Nokia and Erikson can step things up, and if one or two more techs can get involved it should help keep up the momentum as well as tying end-user costs down.

They can of course keep their three studios going, and use other venues as and when.
In fact, hopefully they will have so much work on, that 'venue availability' will become all-important.

In their announcement on 21 May they described LA and Ally Pally as ' brand new specially designed content studios in LA and London'. This would suggest they are permanent. I'd certainly hope so. AP looked the business.

Not sure about New York, since there's been no further mention. I can't think it would be just for JG. He has all his own venues, and hopefully they would have Melody's cameras in them by now. We do know they have put one show in the can.

The bad news is that unless D Trump and the mayor of NY give Broadway the green light, It's likely to be off until 2021.
A troupe of singers, dancers and musicians can't do the social distancing.

The good news is that after Covid there are going to be global warming issues. In fact this is already starting to make the news again. For gigs and the theatre alike, VR is going to play a massive part - permanently. And VR means Melody, because there is no competition
