It's very possible they still want money. It's likely the Dollens and Davis cash went into the new studios. But they can't keep on having placings, however successful they might be.

So it comes back to a take out (again). IMO for what it's worth, Facebook have to be in the frame, (I wouldn't necessarily put money on it , I've put it all in MELODY). But they have worked alongside Melody, their hardware and Melody's content, and whilst they are only half the size of Apple and Amazon, they do have a war chest of $40billion. Better spend it on Melody than let it burn a hole in their pocket.

Melody is fantastic. They've done everything else except monetise it. This should be the easy bit (for them, tech speaking, I'm just out of it)

Nikki Lambert has the pedigree, but she has bosses, and she is not autonomus, she is told what to do, like most of us. And considering the amount of time she has been with Melody, she has kept a pretty low profile.

Sc4tman, I agree. In fact they should be thinking ahead of Wireless - it is still a month away.

Lord, Any good news on JG is welcome. The sooner the musicals are up and running the better. This is a gold mine that doesn't even need a mine. It's just waiting for JG and Melody to DIG it up. Well done the cops in Minneapolis for holding us up.

Melody is a class act, so when they do monetise should be heading for headline stuff. IMO. I admit not having bought an Oculus (yet) but I can't find anything in the back catalogue that interest me. Maybe Ed Sheeran could try and sound a bit like Deep Purple or Taylor Swift do some Black Sabbath covers.

But seriously, aim for where the money is. The business is here to stay, take out or no. When Covid has gone, this will be all about Carbon Footprints and Global Warming, Music to Melody's ears. (pardon the pun)

Very little revenue, and it won't change for 2019. They've only dribbled out the back catalogue, and they haven't even started to monetise the live stuff.. That's why the share price is where it is. It's pretty much how any other share price would perform.

Doing Wireless for free is a huge goodwill gesture on Melody's part . IMO. There's nothing to prove - they did it last year. It is a huge 'help-out' for Live Nation though, who otherwise wouldn't be able to get the gig on at all, in any way, shape, or form. I had thought any take out would most likely involve Facebook, but a big 'thank you' of some sort from LN. Who knows?

As you say 'huge placings raised'. That means, since you don't seem to have a clue how the stock market works, that the placings were a success.

I can't wait for the Broadway musicals myself. But I guess the USA needs to get itself sorted out, one way and another.

I don't see Melody ever doing any sport, JSP. For several reasons.

1 'Melody' - Is all about music, not sport. - it's not what it says on the tin.
2 Sport is a crowded market. There are others e.g. Sky BT and the free to air channels already covering it.
3 Melody's tech is audio/visual. AM is a sound technician by profession. There isn't a lot of sound in sport apart from the crowd.

Best to let Melody stay with what they are doing, and start to monetise ASAP. Before the share price slips any further.

JG has until end 2021 to exercise his remaining options. Even the theatres should be unlocked by then. Although right now he must be even more hacked off than we are.
But when Melody start to monetise the live stuff, the SP will soar. IMO

I think Max covered quite a bit. And the sleepy SP might simply be down to the lack of revenue. Melody haven't monetised any live stuff. When they do , it will wake up. IMO.

To be honest LF, I think there will be a take out before then.
But if not it goes back to something AM said about two years ago i.e. 'If they were a West Coast company they would be valued at a billion'.
And that was before JG appeared on the scene. Broadway is the jewel in Melody's crown IMO. It's potentially highly lucrative and JG has a database of nearly 5 million which is subscribers on a plate for Melody.
AM has backed himself by focusing the business on the USA, particularly in the last year or so.
Sure the behaviour of the share price is frustrating. Again, it's IMO, but it might just be for the simple reason that Melody have as yet taken little revenue as they have yet to monetise any live gigs.
It's worth remembering that AM and SH still have around 80 per cent of their original holding. It's in their interest even more than us LTHs to scale up the value of the company. At some point they will want to cash in as many chips as they can get. They may still be able to manage the company under someone else's umbrella. And we won't have done too badly out if it either.

I had thought though that they had some recorded content among that which they have not released. It would be quite old anyway now.
Actually it is something maybe they could do as most of the Proms is going to be virtual this year. Then again, they might not.

After Wireless, Melody will be back at the Royal Albert for The Proms. In fact, they probably won't need to leave.
Live from the new studio, and they can promote their back catalogue at the same time. I'm not sure if they've released it for sale.
The share price is less predictable. It scares me at times.

There is no point in holding your breath. There is nothing happening on Broadway right now and theatre productions will be about the last thing to be unlocked anywhere. That includes Broadway and West End. Some venues may even be lost forever.
At least that's not likely to include JG, and looking on the bright side he may be able to rescue one or two. But nothing is going to happen yet. IMO

I think Hobbit is an Adele fan. I believe she is putting an album together for later this year, but he might know more. She has been in LA recently

Just to say The Share Centre dealt with a small problem that wasn't of their making anyway. And at mid-price of the spread.

They may well be, Watching. It's always happening. But I was wondering if anyone else has had problems with Share Centre.

I've been trying for about the last four hours to place just a £1K top-up with the Share Centre.
It just keeps coming back 'Cannot do the Deal' This despite the fact there has been a stream of about sixty - nearly all sells - since about 10.15 this morning.
I phoned the Share Centre and got cut off half way through the call. And it wasn't me being kack-handed with the phone.

What a strange day!
