yes,

a posting history goes a long way in establishing the credibility, accuracy and motivations of a poster. So to answer your question, opinions do matter more based on historic postings (and subsequently volume is a factor as it shows a pattern and reinforces your opinions on that poster and their motivations, knowledge and accuracy)
