it makes total sense. When you have the staff that are already trained and experienced in taking swabs/samples and also have staff that can run PCR tests to have them run at the location of the sample and patient rather than sending to a super lab hundreds of miles away.
This gives each hospital the control and speed that they are looking for. They might already have PCR testing or may need to purchase more

You seem hell bent on picking a winner. Maybe it's the ponies you like. Thinking of covid testing in such singular and tunnel visioned ways is the error you fail to see. Many forms and ways of testing will be required. The good ones will stick around and the bad ones will disappear. Then it will be the good ones that are accurate, quick and cost effective in that order that will win. Failing to tick those 3 boxes will result in a fail.

The demands of high volume mass testing has been met and is being further ramped up. PCR testing is currently the high volume mass testing being performed by UK. I'm guessing you are trying to make a different point but failing to do so.

There is no transit van. You have mixed up the information released by OptiGene and wrongly assumed that is what NCYT are doing. NCYT are looking to simplify the work flow for taking a sample and running it through PCR while also reducing the time taken for a result to be given. This is being achieved through the exsig direct and then if need be onto q16/q32 mobile/portable machines which can prevent the samples being sent to the super labs.

I struggle to take your posts seriously when you have such glaring holes in the points you try to make. You mentioned echo chambers through the week and yet seem to be completely unaware of your own echo chamber.

For what its worth i'm also invested here and don't view covid stocks or any stocks for that matter as football rivalry.

The one step samples/vials into the Q16/32 is what work places really want. They don't want to be ripped off by private companies that are most likely collecting samples and sending them off to other labs and waiting on results (2 days in some cases). They'd much rather have the processes in place that gives them most control, least cost, time efficient and accurate.
This will tick lots of boxes for the workplaces that really need their staff on-site while ensuring their duty of care is met.
