looks like a numbers game for the health secretary. he's been told to have capacity for 500,000 tests per day and thats the target he's going to achieve. This appears to be the boost to improve those numbers from 200,000 ish to 500,000

I don't fully agree with covid testing being max 2 years. It won't be the same as today however i think this will merge into something else. We are seeing this with the winter complex test being researched. I feel that will be part of testing protocols for years to come which will change with seasonal colds/flus and any other viruses which may cause global concern. I can see those tests being a given for anyone with a fever.

I agree. We ended July higher than we ended June. Heading in the right direction with hopefully large contracts to be announced.

The winter test kit sounds very promising and exactly what the health care system needs. Simplification to understand which virus is causing fevers and serious health issues. This is the testing weapon they need!
