I agree risehall1, lockdown has been very successful in stopping the spread of this virus but has damaged the economy in ways that few people could have imagined. Under no circumstances will this government and other governments allow a lockdown similar to this again.
They will throw as much money as they can to prevent the economy being damaged like the again.
They'd best get their testing systems in place to curtail and prevent future waves

Correct me if i'm wrong hants but is the market that avacta and the other companies developing "spit tests" going for is the negative tests? i.e if they are close to being accurate with confirming a negative (95% accurate???) then that person can continue to the plane/event/workplace. Any test which gives a positive would then stop said individual from proceeding and go straight to PCR test?

We all know how good the PCR test is but it's only as good as the sample that is presented.
What makes you so sure the "spit test" will be any different? Do you have any data from these tests to support it?

I think the barrier is ensuring they can provide a sputum based test from the upper respiratory tract that is as accurate as their current PCR test

my vague understanding is that Optigene have the LAMP technology and at least initially were using the test kit from primerdesign/novacyt. I'm hopefully that should their testing be successful that LAMP can be used and our test kit will be listed as one of the ones that is validated to work.
Lots of ifs buts and maybes right now however if the above is close to being correct it would lead to mass saliva based testing. As long as our kits are required it pretty much takes up the order book for the rest of the year.

The source is from the morning star link and it does state as of 19th June 2020 on the link. I'm unsure of their source so even though it mentions todays date it could be using out of date sources to compile.

Investors do believe in this and are holding. Other investors are seeing the dramatic drop in share price and are wondering where their buy in price should be, or they are scared off by the drop completely.

It would appear that NCYT is no longer the "fun stock" and as such a number of buyers/sellers have moved onto other "fun stocks". There are better returns to be held elsewhere for them.

There are lots of "back of fag packet" calculations going on. Some are very detailed however until we get confirmation from the company itself it's all speculation. The share price (IMO) will recover as and when we move from speculation onto confirmed orders and future sales. We need the RNS to be detailed with these numbers which i'm patiently waiting for.

I was under the impression that the ncyt COVID test was ok with ambient temps??

i'm perhaps reading between the lines too much but when i read the note about turning down investors i wondered if that was a heads up to said investors finding other ways of getting a share of the company on the cheap. it's not exactly something he can come right out and say and again perhaps i'm reading too much into it but thats my take on it
