i do wonder if it's a 4.5 year contract they've just signed, or if it runs to March 25. Let's hope that by 2025 we've got a great track record with them, but more importantly the Tema contract will be a tiny portion of our business and we can drive a hard bargain.

You are correct that you didn't, but "If only their MSC division could deliver the way their Tech does.." followed by that information would imply that this was an example of the Tech division delivering....but i'd argue that offering a new product from a supplier is not exactly delivering much for WSG...yet.

anyway, enough of this, nice to get a new fever contract...amazed that these places haven't already ordered scanners...how can they only decide that they need them now?? Iran has already had 291 deaths!

if i'm honest, i've given up checking at 7am. i still make sure i look before the market opens, but i think i kind of assume that it won't happen whilst the markets are in such turmoil. Maybe the rate cut will help to weaken Sterling...that's always good for us.

Foxy my little pickle: i have to say that i'm with you on the Feb "expectation". Don't get me wrong, i'm confident that it will come good, and not too bothered since we're getting paid, but after so so so many false dawns, why would he mention Feb when there was a possibility it wouldn't happen? It beggars belief. if he was pumping for a raise then that's one thing, but he wasn't. he stuck his neck out again for absolutely no reason at all. that winds me up way more than the lack of singing.

in the long run i genuinely think i'll appreciate the delay, it's let me top up (with a tiny bit of trading on the way) to a much more meaningful holding.

Mr Coin: it took Amazon 14 years to make a profit....they've never exactly struggled to attract investors.

imo it's the impact of Covid-19 on the US that is more pertinent. When they start to panic we'll really see some selling of global stock markets.

Even NCYT is off today.....but that shouldn't matter to you as it, along with a number of other beautifully timed buys, have given you enough money to take a few more months' holidays. Personally i'd have loved it if you put your new found massive wealth into WSG....that said, i think i'd take a lower SP and less ramping as a compromise.

Totally agree on the scanners...if they were material there would certainly have been an RNS..they want the share priced pumped too.

Jim: in my mind, the way it could work is that it puts a bunch of investors onto the scent of WSG. a few existing holders top up in anticipation of a blue day, and then this coincides with something of a rebound after yesterday's market rout. We then get some momentum and the new eyes buy in with a bit of FOMO on the hope of something positively correlated to Covid-19.

ironically, this is one of those days when one of DHC's information dump "for newbies" might have actually been of some use. shame he's sold out and gone bearish - i hope he got his timing pretty badly wrong

I'm feeling a little contrarian right now....I've been bearish Mr Coin now for many a month, but now that the consensus is to call out the directional poster as being a little, dare i say, two-faced...i feel a bit bad for him. Don't get me wrong, i find is biased posting to be agonising to read and painfully blatant....but it almost feels like bullying now. i do find it funny that few people had much of an issue when it was ramping that he was doing.

So that we can all come together as one big happy family, should we run a sweepstake? When will DHC buy back in and his posts become super bullish again? will it be before the Tema announcement? before Lefkosia turns back up? before the oil price hits $20?!?

WSG are constantly tendering for things. The share price won’t currently reflect an African port that we’ve won and are operating and getting paid for. No way it’s going to get exited because we’ve tendered for an airport along with 3 competitors.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m hugely optimistic for the rest of this year and MSCs....I just don’t think the share price will go up until we see a signed contract. Too many false dawns and missed opportunities.

are you guys telling me that when you say you're "off out", you're not really off out???? mind....blown!!!

and i don't want to be overly bullihs...but the only thing that WSG has that is currently dependent upon footfall is Lungi...and that's not exactly setting the world alight at the best of times. oh, and it's not Asia.

Tema could get getting hit as global trade slows. a mate of mine owns some dry bulk ships and they are having real trouble with chips being allowed to doc anywhere if they've been to China...even if the crew don't disembark. That said, Tema may well have un-serviced demand (because it used to be so much smaller) so if the full demand is reduced a bit, it may still be larger than it was for the old port.
