Ian: part of the reason i suspect is that fever detectors are of limited use in a disease that was known very early on to be contagious prior to any symptoms presenting.

once Covid was in the country and spreading quickly i'm not convinced that shutting the airports would have made all that much difference.

Mr Coin: low oil price is good for all sorts of people, notably oil importing countries...and, i don't know...maybe container shipping!. Yes it's bad for the likes of Saudi and the US shale industry...but you'd be mad to invest in the latter and KSA can handle low oil for a number of years, they still have huge financial reserves and low debt to GDP.

I love how mad we all are for investing in WSG because you inexplicably think that it's hugely leveraged into oil, yet you'll push EasyJet??? nuts.

Mike: (and i really don't know why i'm getting involved in this) my reading was that our daily volumes were "X" in 2019. that is for the period of July to December, when there was a ramp up). In early 2020 it was "X" times 1.59. this gain , to me, is because the 2019 averages were for the build up phase. So i'm not sure we can say that (covid aside) if this continued then 2020 would be 59% higher than 2019.

but that's just my reading.

Big: in 2008/9 the global shipping market volume saw a 10% annual decline....but because shipping lines are so leveraged it meant that they seriously tanked (maersk down 62% peak to trough in SP)....we're not remotely leveraged into Tema. a 10% fall now would be a 10% fall in that specific line of revenue....but it would lead to massive sell offs in container lines.

sunny: mainly my mind.....but i did spend more money that i care to confess to my wife on a turbo trainer so i can now cycle indoors...or at least i will when i build a new bike to go with it. My home "office" is gradually getting more and more like a home gym.

( i am actually being very good...only 1 times exercise a day and not going out for anything else.

Feeks: i've said it before, not only am i convinced that Foxy holds (and i'm saying your are stating anything to the contrary) but he must be seriously kicking himself. Over the past year he has been more on the money than most...yet he continued to hold. It's one thing to hold and see your investment fall if you have strong belief in the company. It must be much harder to stomach when you've seen and voiced many many concerns over that period yet you haven't done anything about it.

Feeks: my take is that the signed contract won't make a difference. the only detail of the contract that we know is that it's for 5 years...why would it be any longer when we haven't had to put any capex in to set the thing up? they want to make sure we're not muppets before they give a seriously long term contract.
If we can get enough information from the full year results to have a stab at the margin then maybe the shares could price more in.

I still feel we're massively undervalued, but then i'm long and so biased. There are tech sales going on in the background...there were a bunch of MSCs bubbling away and i'm sure they still are. yes it will be slower than pre covid, but the wold isn't stopping long term.

Phil will be here past 15p....as soon as we get their it will still feel undervalued and he'll revise to 20p so he can make a profit.
Foxy will be here until we all die.
DHC will be a **** until he dies.
