On Duplicitous Mr Coin: i'm glad that you lot have realised that he spouts rubbish constantly. The only positive that i can see from his input is that he tends to remain polite and usually doesn't get personal. His two main flaws, however, are 1: that he is not as intelligent (or as good an investor) as he clearly thinks he is, and b: he is happy to bare faced lie and mislead.

Both lead me to the conclusion that i am a happier and more fulfilled person than him and that keeps me from getting overly agitated by his antics.

Can we all agree to remember these times when he buys back in (it will happen after there has been a significant climb and he'll have miraculously "bought back in" just before it...you see he's a very good investor). When he's ramping incessantly then the bulls need to remember that he's still the same two faced, deceptive, lying , deceitful "investor" that he is right now.

Jim: VAT is chargeable on any products (and services) we sell to within the EU.
They can also furlough (i assume that's what you meant, again very sloppy for a lawyer) their staff if it meant that they don't have to make them redundant...but i doubt that would have a huge impact as i don't think we have all that many UK staff that are not still rather busy.

I wasn't saying that there would be a whole load of support from the UK government, i was just pointing out that his comment on the matter was not tantamount to a confession that the company was going under...as you seemed to believe.

For what it's worth i don't think you're trying to talk down the price (unlike DHC). I just think that you've sold out and are a: embarrassed that you lost money (like the rest of us) on the investment and 2: are now happy to vent after having been so (confidently) bullish.

What's farcical about Tema? upset that we're getting paid? that the port hasn't been negatively impacted by Covid yet? or are you upset that they haven't signed a contract with Scanport...sorry, another contract.

The market is not exactly in normal times right now...fair amount of dislocation out there. That's why i don't think you'll see 15p until the market returns to come form of normality ....by then the Tema profits should be pouring in and you should be getting over 20p...anyway, each to their own as i said.

i personally think if we hit 15p then the covid-19 market impact will be largely fading, so you may as well stick to 20p...but each to their own.

Jim: i i'm not going to cast aspersions, but you're clearly an intelligent chap and that was a DHC level of over simplification.

Yes, some of the government schemes are there to help out troubled businesses - like government backed loans. But things such as job retention scheme and VAT deferrals are available to all. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you were being flippant rather than duplicitous...for now

Jim: they'll get it, every country will get it. Maybe it will be slightly less severe given their young populations and the warmer climate.....but the whole world will get it and i suspect that the only solution is herd immunity or a vaccine...i suspect the former comes well before the later.

For me though, SL is small fry compared to Tema....which i see as being must less impacted than airports.....trade has to continue if economies are to do anything other than fall over.

3P: are you suggesting that Mr Coin has said something and then done something different? well I'll be. that's shaken the very foundation of my faith in humanity.

My take is:
- Tema will be fine, numbers will be slightly down on the impending global slowdown, but still good money coming in.
- SL will take a hit but airports will open again before too long - this morning global air traffic (in seat terms) was at 45% of the level this time last year - that's a big drop, but living in the UK you'd think all planes were grounded around the globe.
- the biggest fear with WSG is always raises.....the push back of the CLNs gives breathing room so i'm very happy about that.
- Fever detection: i don't think they're very effective, but we always knew that you were contagious before presenting with symptoms....people still wanted them...probably good for general confidence...and could well be that large venues and transport hubs now want these as standard going forward. Either way, it's all good money.
- Large tech - less likely in the short term with people at home.....but could still see some this year. they've certainly been building momentum in that division.

overall i'm happy to hold at these ludicrous prices.

Mr Coin: and there in lies the reason that you are not managing a company....it'll called prudence. Many companies are about to go bust over the next couple of years and nearly all will be as a result of lack of liquidity. It's sensible to not run things right to wire...that's why companies prefund approaching debt maturities and pay additional interest for a period, rather than waiting for the last minute and hoping that the market hasn't taken a bad turn and is still open.

Oh, and i guess the other reason you don't run a company is that being openly duplicitous would not go down well with colleagues

ps. Ya and RiverFort are not charities, of course they're trying to make money even now, they don't want to go under like any other company right now.
