Foxy my sweetheart: i really think you need to have a relax. are you WFH and have nothing to do? You seem to be particularly angry about today's RNS. It was a positive, just accept that. I'm convinced you're invested, but it's posting like this morning that makes people believe you're not. I know you don't care, but posts carry a lot more weight when people don't think you're just being bullish or bearish for the sake of it......see the tide of opinion turn against Mr Coin quite so rapidly...almost as rapidly as he sold his shares.

Mad: that's exactly what we have...a magic money tree...it's called the Bank of England. they can print as much as they like.....not as if inflation is currently a fear.

have you seriously not heard of quantitative easing? helicopter money? they have options......it's something that the US also has, the EU struggles a bit more.

why would they go in an devalue people's savings when they can just print money? they can also borrow at ludicrously low rates currently....so that last thing they're going to do it **** off an entire electorate.

Tardis: i'v thought more about this and you may be right. the markets are not functional at the moment and are simply destroying value every day.
China was able to close their markets and that probably helped as they didn't go down each day that a new case was reported in the press. A month of closed markets might do all some good!

No they won't. the market is pretty dysfunctional but it still needs to be open. Even Treasuries were illiquid on Friday...that's properly mental. But why close it?...that would screw the economy even more. Companies need to fund themselves, funds needs to be able to have some liquidity. The markets will fall too far, bounce back and find a level that more or less correctly reflects the economic impact of isolation and managing the virus.

Buy a bit more chaps...could be a fantastic investment time for the brave.

FTSE at 5000 could easily go back to 6000....or this could go back to nominal and you get 43% upside...or, you know, it could go bust!! given the underlying business i'd say this thing is still primed for a great year. Tema won't grow like previously forecast, and Lungi numbers will be down....but you'd hope that security tech sales will still be made (any major infrastructure projects that are nearly completed will still be finalised and will need screening equipment), plus fever scanners. if this thing survives 2020 (which it really really should) then the relative performance potential is huge....let's just hope they don't need cash! ;-)

Alias: not sure i agree that WSG will bounce more than most. theoretically it should, but i think that people will want to see the numbers before they do. If the full year results come with a decent amount of detail on post year end trading then there is a chance...but this isn't simply a high beta play currently. the market does not value the underlying business anywhere near what people on this board do.

I'm not massively convinced that we'll get a all that much more from scanners (assume that it's a supply issue since we've received a ludicrous amount of interest and not made all that many sales). I hope i'm wrong again. that said, scanners don't really do much - they miss 80-90% of cases due to the incubation period....but if we can make sales on them then i'm not complaining!

I think it's stonking value, but i've added all i can already this year.

I love the idea that he's unhappy with $720k sales (a lot more than i thought it would be) but still wanted an RNS 2 months ago, when they could have said "Westminster has made sales of $50k in fever detection systems".

For those talking big numbers.....clears it's demand constrained. it takes time to build thesew things, and since we got zero inquiries last year i'd say stocks won't be high anywhere.

As i said before, shame on you lot for only calling out his positional posting once he sold and turned bearish.

Feeks: great to have additional frontage online but this is a demand issue not a supply one. The port can handle plenty (supply). But where are the these containers coming from (demand)? China? Europe? USA? I honestly don’t know (would assume China it at least Asia mainly) but either way, the international container volumes will be well down. People aren’t buying things as they’re stuck at home and we’re heading into a global recession.

I’m comfortable that we’ll get through this fine (with Tema cash and a decent cash position as is). But it’s not going to be plain sailing.

Mr Coin: what's "out" about the numbers then? i stated it was 22%, which is what the company stated.

i've got a simple (rhetorical) question for you....why would some buy this as a going concern when they could take the assets out of administration? much cleaner, don't need to pay the equity, fewer concerns with employees....pensions...contingent liabilities.....etc etc

In January the falling valuations triggered a covenant on their £485m bond held against the MetroCentre. Now that asset cannot pass money up to the Plc. That could be the first of many. Assuming covenants are further breached in July then the banks start taking assets and this thing totally unravels with fire sales. Why would someone buy before then?

Mr Coin: Itu saw it's property values decline 22% last year and like for like rental grown of -9.1%. Take into account the virus impacting 2020, the fact that they'll be a distressed seller and the structural challanegs facing the sector....it's a high risk bet.

and when management state that there is "material uncertainty in relation to intu’s ability to continue as a going concern" then you know things are getting serious

People are indiscriminately selling now. the markets are dysfunctional. Even treasuries seem to be taking a bit of hit now....with fund outflows PMs just have to sell what they can .

Mike: Tema is definitely going to get hit in terms of volume over the next couple of months due to Covid-19. Over the course of the 5 years (and hopefully extended when we do a good job) i don't worry, but i agree that there will be a real struggle to get to 2m this year
