It does point out that there is spare capacity...i did comment months back that the 3.7m TEU capacity is the supply and not the demand......but i'm sure that demand will build over time (assuming we're not all dead by then!).

TPK: I can empathise with ever growing negativity and a sense of dread, but I think you’re wrong. Yes, every day that goes by makes a mugging off more likely....but this share seriously moves on news. So if the announcement is good it will rocket. It’s not moving as feb slowly drifts by because the market has little priced in for Tema and understandably so. I can’t blame it after so many false dawns. But I do think that if they deliver then the shares will rocket. Maybe not to the 50-75p that I used to hope for. But if I can add a few £k on Friday at 10p then I really think I can double my money in fairly short order.

the optimist in me would point to it being a risk off day in the markets with a broad equity sell off.....but since we don't benefit from broad market rallies i'd say that's a difficult sell.

it does feel suspiciously unlucky....partly you make your own luck and partly these things can happen when you operate in the countries that we do.

that said, the virus is unlikely, in my view, to have a material impact on Tema over the life of our "long term" contract. So little is priced in here, i can't think that it will fall much on concerns over the virus unless things get really serious. Also, we're not currently really exposed to worldwide airline travel...we only have one tin-pot airport in a little African nation. It will take many more MSCs before we have to worry too much about global airline numbers rather than company specific ones

"now esp with C virus sales" - I've always maintained that we should not be moving on the virus sales as they were not material...based on the fact that they never RNSd them or mentioned figures. i find it interesting that haven't sold any since 5th Feb....and in that time the news on the virus, and the international spread has only increased. it's simply not currently something that does, or should, move the needle.

News on Sudan, if that's the African country (and to me it's tin-potty enough to be a perfect fit for us ), and progress on the tariffs and 20% of business is much more material for me.

I know i give you a hard time for ludicrous bullishness, and fantastical interpretation on here Mr Coin, but i think I should cut you some more slack. you don't try to cross sell us all your other holdings like you do on other share BBs. You're certainly doing your bit in trying to get people over to this share ....just hope they're seriously long term investors or they'll be very disappointed ;-) !

i've often wondered what happens if the service offered by the old and new terminals differ materially. i.e. do the ships just get allocated to a port and have to take whichever one they're sent to, or can they insist on going to the nice, new, shiny terminal that should see them processed much more efficiently?

either way, seems like progress is being made.

maybe we can have 5 RNSs this week......CSLNs today, Tema tomorrow, KSA Wednesday, Africa Thursday and then a total voting rights RNS on Friday ....see, i can be ludicrously optimistic too.

Don't be silly Jungle...of course he can get away with it.....there are loads of jam-tomorrow-rabbits he can pull out and we (or other PIs) will come running. he's nowhere near the end of the road...that's part of my investment thesis (along with an improving fundamental business and a number of game changing opportunities - KSA, Tema etc)

1st May, share went up 55.9% over the following 2 weeks, then the final results came on 31st May 2012, the share price fell 18.1% on the day.

Foxy my love: as is so often the case I agree with you. i think it's because we're both such glass half full kind of people..optimists, natural bulls, hopers, dreamers, people of sunny disposition, merry, cheerful, rosy, positive, buoyant...i think everyone would agree.

but what i would say is this......whilst it would be nice for them to show financial support, it won't make the contracts flow any faster and that's all i care about. it would give the share price a little kick, but i don't want that...i want a rocket, and that can only come from cold hard revenue.

Feeks: i do feel that Big Tone really should have bought more...but that said, a BoD member selling does way more damage to the SP than the equivalent purchase would benefit it. So whilst i think it's a weak excuse not to buy, i can see why he can really only invest an amount that he can afford to have tied up for a long time. I suppose he could get paid in shares.....would have thought that with those chubby little fingers in many pies he isn't short of a bob or two though

I totally agree Jelly. It wasn’t a criticism. I was just disagreeing with ADJ’s assertion that purchases were certain if feb came and went without a contract.

I'm not saying you're pro PF...i'm just saying that there is no evidence that he's remotely likely to buy any shares.

Looking back, Pete bought 100k, so £10,500 in 2018 (which is less than i spent on WSG shares that year). The only other purchase i can find is Stewie buying 37,500 shares at 30p a pop in 2008

i really see no evidence that they're going to change now. I also think that WSG has turned a corner, but i think that if this Tema promise falls through then they'll get a KSA promise lined up to keep the lights on.

what makes you "certain" he'll suddenly change a habit of a lifetime and buy shares? simply because he hasn't changed a habit of a lifetime and failed too deliver on an MSC?

he stated that signing was likely in Feb....he could well know details of the exact date. he know all sorts of details about the terms of the deal and the full year results. He could know all sorts of details about KSA that could block him from trading.

when did he last purchase shares ? not like he's a prolific supporter of the share price.

I really don't see PF buying any more share in WSG....ever. If things somehow go well then i could see him awarding himself options but he's not going to dip into his pocket.
