Anyone on a BB knows about the contracts, anyone looking at the company website, anyone who has alerts set up, anyone with a Bloomberg terminal can see the news.

It’s not like there are is an army of deep pocketed investors who are desperate to throw money at WSG if only it would start to RNS its immaterial contract news.

I suspect that the limiting factor will be the supply rather than the demand. Can’t imagine they can fabricate these scanners in a matter of days....hopefully our supplier have lots on stock.

could be Disney...given that they've had to shut their parks in Shanghai and HK....but the wording "a large public venue within the USA" really doesn't match with a private theme park for me. not to mention the fact that they'd be deploying them at both venues in LA and Florida.

The Natural History Museum in London is a large public venue - it has 2 entrances, so they'd only need 2 walk by scanners....i suspect it is more than that, but just making the point that "large public venue" doesn't mean large number of entrances,

if it were over £100k i'd expect them to put to numbers to it ("in excess of £x hundred k"....but then again, with more sales, £100k is no longer so material.

if it bounces then that's 3 days in a row - maybe this is the new norm until the RNS lands

market doesn't seem too impressed with the update on top of 4 regular contracts and 3 fever detection contracts in the last 5 weeks alone.

DHC: a large part of the reason than this spreads so quickly is because, unlike SARS, it is contagious before symptoms present. Hence the scanners are of limited use.
Oh, and maybe a little less obvious glee at the spreading of a deadly disease would be nice.

Trek: I agree that today was probably an upward blip and the risk sell off will continue....but I don’t think this is going to be a real nightmare. It’s got a higher morality rate than regular flu....but we’re not dealing with some movie apocalypse scenario. Strong US consumers will continue to pull their economy along, plus Trump will be pumping the economy where he can into November.

Rivaldo: to me, no RNS men’s one of two things. The amount of revenue we’re talking isn’t all that high (they only RNS the large ones) or they’re conscious of not making news of revenue out of the virus. I think the former is most likely.

Let’s hope the price rise continues.

DHC: I really don’t see the a huge amount coming from Coronavirus. I doubt the portable thermal scanners are that expensive (certainly vs the vehicle scanners we shipped last year) and I assume that everyone who sells them will be flogging like mad....anyone who happened to have a load in stock will be best placed. Could be us....but I think it’s peanuts vs Tema. I could be wrong though. By the way, still no metal detectors at the Shard. Maybe that’s because they don’t run rehabilitation clinics and are so no more a target than they were before the London Bridge attack.
