Evening all. Not all that much constructive diploid today. Thing that links everyone on here (bulls and bears) is that when/if the share price actually pops we’ll all be very happy. We’re on the same side and I’m sure we’re all invested here (and yes, Foxy is too).

Vander: I suspect, like many companies, they are prioritising growth over profit. They spend a lot on acquisition of new business, sadly that hasn’t produced many results yet. With Tema and a KSA contract the investment could look like it was very well spent.

I haven’t got my model to hand so not going to hazard a guess at revenues or profits....but to be honest the specifics aren’t important. It’s sentiment that’s blown the share price (and tbh quite understandably). A Tema signing will be a huge boost for confidence. A KSA or the Africa contract on top could really get this motoring. People want to know that PF can actually close a long term deal. After that I think focus moves more to profit etc

I appreciate that I was complaining that he focuses on revenue rather than profit and then just said that profit wasn’t so important currently....but my issue is that he seems to think that increased revenue means they all need a pat on the back.....this would be fine it it hadn’t come at the expense of massive dilution.

Positives:
- the Jan update (didn’t used to be on the financial calendar).
- PF still seems bullish about the Tema deal
- PF still happy to respond to PIs
Negatives:
- Still seems a little confused as to why investors would be so miffed
- Shows absolutely no comprehension of how damaging and frustrating these fund raisings are.
- doesn’t realise that the $3.4m deal was great....but directly resulted in an equity raise...yet subsequently didn’t provide enough cash to avoid a further raise!
- still focussed on revenue with no regard for profit.

As this drags on it doesn’t make me any more likely to bail pre Tema.....just makes me less likely to keep faith once im back in profit and there are other pipeline promises being made.

Foxy my dear: it could be argued (and i'm sure Jim and DHC would) that he has converted an MSC....boots on the ground, getting paid etc etc. my concern is not Tema falling through....that is safe in my mind....my issues is there terms....still a niggling doubt about how much money we're making from them.......the "several hundred thousand" was a little worrying (but then we stared working for free and then the port was ramping up ) but my main concern is that we still don't have enough coin coming in and felt the need to raise (granted, there could be some imminent MSCs that need pre-funding that we don't yet know about...but that's proper DHC tinted glasses stuff)

bottom line, i'm comfortable that we're getting money in from Tema and the pipeline is bright.....just currently feeling a little bit of concern over management......which is a shame because it's always better to invest in a bad company with good management rather than the other way round

anyhoo.....it's along game this (7.5 years and counting) and as of yesterday it just got a little longer. I'll be taking some profit on the Tema signing, but keeping most in for for the other (KSA etc) irons in the fires.....but i don't have huge faith in the current management to get the most out of this company.

I've met a large number of very senior management of many companies as part of my work and i must say that most tend to be more impressive than PF.
(and by "most", i mean "all", and my "tend to be more impressive" i mean "are a world apart in terms of impressiveness"

that said, he's got a tiny, loss making company into some positions to have some sizable contracts......he just needs to convert one for once.

the one thing that i'd say in agreement, Win, is that at the AGM he seemed insistent that he was really proud of what the company had achieved and how great all his staff were. it was nice to see him being proud of his employees and his business...but he needed to recognise his audience. He was going on about the amazing growth they'd had without realising that he was talking to the people who funded him and who'd seen him oversee massive value destruction in the share price. yes, he's developed the business, but it's still been loss making and an atrocious investment.....granted, he may have laid the building blocks for some "transformational" growth over the next few years....but he needs to deliver for the people paying the bills.

..at least if we're breaking the mould from the last two years (a trading update in January) then we not likely to revert to 2016 and 2017 (and 2013 for that matter) when we had a feb update but followed by some form of raising.

silver lining is that we won't be facing another capital raise any time soon (now when did i hear myself say that in the past?!?!!?).

by the AGM i'm confident that we'll be higher than 10p...can't say fairer than that ;-)

my only lingering concern is that Tema is clearly not producing the kind of coin we hoped......only possible alternative to that is that we have a new deal in the pipeline that needs cash to get it going.

H&N: exactly...an update on Tema in that RNS would have been very odd. could have done another one, but nothing to update i assume.

old position: £2.245m in CSLNs costing 15%
New positions: £3m facility - £1.5m drawn - 11.5% rate for 1st year, 6.5% rate for second year, and 0.75% commitment fee. £1.75m raised in a share issue (raised at a premium)
3.5m warrants issued too.

i get the CSLN repayment (with a bit of extra headroom) but don't see what the equity raising is for if we've got so much cash from Tema and general business?
