I agree with jan....I don’t see 23p as being a price for this share. It won’t work its way up to that without the Iran or “other 2018 MOU” being signed. And if either are signed this will fly past 30p. If you want out pre contractthen you’ll have to average down....and I fear you’ve missed that opportunity when it was sub10p

so in summary..the sanctions don't cover our business activities, the EU is encouraging more trade with Iran, they've put in protections for EU companies, we've been working around the sanctions anyway.....what is there to wait for? maybe the BoD wants to get buying before the closed period comes again!! (i doubt it, they clearly had a chance to buy and passed it up)

good to see the price moving to a more representative level of the potential of the company (still ludicrously cheap imo). will give us a better springboard when the news does land, but i was hoping for a quite (preferable during market hours) announcement so that i could fill my boots before the hoards arrived.....i suspect that with this sustained rise that we'll be on a lot more radars if the contract can happen imminently ;-)

yes, it's the passengers that are paying, but i guess it depends what they are quoted in - it must surely be USD or EUR. I think there is no "FX hit" as the initial contract amount was just an estimation.

i'm a little concerned as to how the tanking of Rial is going to impact our revenues......i assumed they'd be dollar linked, but with the current Trumpy tantrum developments they may not be. even if denominated in USD, there is only so high they can be in the domestic currency has tanked.
but hopefully with some solidarity between the EU3, China and Russia there will be enough support for the economy and thus the Rial.

loving the steady grind higher over the past week....i personally don't see that it's warranted based on new news...but i did think it was stupidly oversold.

Some seemingly positive developments....but in the medium term we really do want the US back on side to help boost the Iranian economy and help to increase passnager numbers. But for now I’d take a swapping of letters and a start of proceedings. Trumpy won’t be around for ever.

If the EU do come to a solution to bypass the US, i can't see it being a clear cut as "don't worry chaps, we've got your back, business as usual". i suspect it will be much more nuanced and so we'll have to read into it carefully to see if WSG is then free to carry on with the contract....but gut is that management will have sorted out their own work around and will be ready to go when they're ready, regardless of the 6th.

pre ME contract there are only 3 things i see making this move materially up:
1: the new 2018 MOU being signed
2: Trump backtracking and recommitting to the JCPOA
3: announcement of Director puchsaing

i can only see one of those as being a reasonable chance of happening....and hoping that they snuck in today as part of the heavy buying.

Iran is exactly the sort of place that WSG has to play......it is a tiny security company and, despite many optimists on here, was never going to be taken on by a client such as Oman. if you're a developed country you get a massive firm to do your security.

I love the fact that Gige is still convinced the whole Iran deal is a lie (which is tantamount to a conspiracy theory).....will be interesting if Trump comes back to the JCPOA table...things could move very quickly then

If Trumpy gets a Nobel Peace Prize after directly causing th deaths of 52 Palestinians following his ludicrous Israel embassy move then they should pack up the whole thing and donate the rest of the money to a real charity. It would be even less deserving than Obama. It must not be forgotten than the man is a thin skinned idiot who empowers racists, xenophobes, masoganists and idiots. ignore my blathering on...there was a clean 10k purchase just after. makes me think that all the trades from 15:31 to 16:00 whilst priced at 9.23 were in fact buys

odd, i just did a tiny top up ( i know, i know) but it was at 9.231p..yet the mid was 9.35p (9.00/9.70)...so it will class as a sell, but also seems a tad odd to me given that it was so far below mid......that said all other trades today were below bid.

Also it was 10k but showed up as 10,830 shares......so someone at HL was buying 830 shares at the same time.

I agree with you Mike on Trumpy's plans....he just needs a tiny move by the Iranians so that he can declare them compliant, wonderful, truly great negotiators, only bettered by him....a bigly success all round and a tick in the box for international diplomacy. those stupid enough to vote for him in the first place and can lap it up and we can move on with our contract.

that would be a much better (if less satisfying) outcome than the EU giving him two fingers and continuing the deal without him. Whilst i love anything that impacts Trumpy's ever so fragile ego, if they US are back on board then the Iranian economy will grow faster and we should benefit.
