i find myself agreeing with you Jan i used to think it was good for over 100p when the contract came. now i think people will be concerned about Iran and put in a discount on the fear that more sanctions come in the future. so i think it may be a rather paltry c.50p on the green light for the contract, but once the money starts to flow and assuming non dilutive funding then i see it at 100p by year end. that is based on the assumption that they convert another MOU this year as they have twice stated that they expect to. with the Iran contract and another contract i see this as being worth well north of 150p...but i doubt the market will price that in.

i'm pretty sure it's safe to bet that she didn't write her own RNS.....i suspect she never said or even thought that sentence either.....IR will have done it, or maybe the CEO or Chair, but certainly won't have emailed them her wording.

i don't believe there was any coincidence in timing. it was widely known that Trump was about to pull out of the Iran deal and so they decided to get it signed before hand.....i assume just in case he was soft and said that sanctions only counted going forward rather than existing, in force contracts. and why not put in that disclaimer,.....it's true after all.

if the EU fails then China and Russia wont't help WSG in the slightest. i think WSG will be able to get this through before long, and i think in the long run Iran will stick to the nuclear non-proliferation deal and when Trump is replaced by a non-sexpest, normal sized handed, remotely human President who does not have an unnatural physical attraction to his own daughter then the US will sign back up. but i think that the chances of the deal failing is way higher than 1%....otherwise WSG is currently the best value risk adjusted stock in AIM history.

being greedy? they haven't done anything but comply with the sanctions (according to IAEA). Trump is the one being greedy...trying desperately to cling on for a second term. we're in the airport security business in high risk countries.....we have no choice but to "do business with the devil"

according to Bloomberg there is little expectation of anything concrete being agreed today; it's more just a kicking off of negotiations.....after all, they have until 6th August before sanctions actually start to come back in. i'd hope that WSG could decide it was not impacted by the sanctions and so could continue....but i fear that we are in for a few months of delays...maybe the second MOU of 2018 will be signed first (unless it move's like this one and then it may be signed in 2020)

we're in agreement then that tomorrow will not bring good news.....you seem to think it will bring no news, i think the same, but also that the market will be disappointing and sell off a little more. i do totally agree that it is massively oversold. if it wasn't for the inevitable market reaction, i'd say that it was currently good value even if the Iran deal failed....there is plenty of other potential and there should be break even soon.

they've made it clear that there is no profit coming for full year (2017), but we're nearly half way through 18 so they should be able to guide us on what's happening ex ME contract. in a well managed and communicated company analysts don't really care about the old numbers, they care about the outlook and guidance.....something WSG are rubbish at giving. yes the ferry fiasco was 2017, but they should be able to explain that all costs are gone and what money they got for the SQ sale and what the new run rate on cash burn is. they really should be able to say that we are EBITDA positive going forward ex the ME contract and give some more guidance on the SL situation. i don't think that there is enough clarify around the Iran sanctions to be able to put minds to rest yet, so i see that as just being another holding statement about doing all they can and being confident etc etc.

that's definitely a glass half full view: a: Iran could be a great opportunity or sanctions could really curtail the economy 2: i'm not sure i agree with your assessment that the EU has decided yet how to react - yes they haven't instantly capitulated, but i want more proof that they are going to fight this. c: we are not part of the EU for long so i care more about how the UK responds, and again i fear that they giving in to Pervert McTiny Hands' demands. i'm holding, but i'm bracing myself for a sell off tomorrow when they once again fail to deliver much concrete information and somehow manage to tell us that we're still not profitable despite the absence the ferry fiasco. i really hope i'm wrong, would love to be buying some more in the low 20s tomorrow

i'd be hugely disappointed, but not all that surprised, if they raised equity for the contract - it's a singed, long term contract, that is exactly what banks should be funding. i also don't think we need to raise money pre the contract, SL and the lack of the ferry really should be taking care of that. the pre-payment of the vehicle scanner contract i suspect will go towards paying the deposit with the supplier, so i don't think that will help with working capital. i still have a sinking feeling that they will disappoint on Friday......based on nothing more than the fact that they normally do....still, i'm here for a long time not a good time!

they all seem to be talking like Trump now!! scary world we live in, if only the US knew it was one of the scariest places. i have fears about Friday, not because i think the results will be bad, but it is rare for AIM shares to go up on annual results, and WSG has been no exception in the past. i fear we'll go down a little more until the ME (or another) contract is given the green light.....i personally think that we should be nearly profitable now (ex Iran) but somehow the results never seem to be as clean as they should be. fingers crossed that the rest of the world can ignore trump and keep operating with Iran until they actually do breach the agreement. it could be a positive long run, at least we'll be entering into the contract with eyes open, the US will only be upside if they come back into the fold when they elect someone less certifiable.

judging by how carefully worded some of the previous RNSs have been i'd say that you may be disappointing. i think that the last paragraph is talking about different things: "The Group has a strong pipeline of other project opportunities in both its managed services and technology divisions. The Company expects to release its full year results on 25 May and will include further details at this time." i think it's just generically talking about further details relating to WSG - i'd hope that includes an update on where they have got to with the Iran deal and if they are close to taking the project off hold. i'd be shocked if they gave us a detailed update on their pipeline..they're very cagey about that and i can't see why they'd change their mind now.

didn't we have numerous people repeatedly saying things like "with all the amazing research, digging and chatting over the past few weeks, i can't see how it's no Oman, question is when they announce" i personally think it will happen with Iran....the fact remains that the deal is on hold until further notice. i fear that will go beyond next Friday as well.

How could it help us in other middle eastern countries? The Us has historically had an issue with Iran in a way that it doesn’t with the other countries. I can’t see sanctions against other countries so think it might be stretching it to claim this is a good thing for anywhere bar Iran

my target hasn't changed at all. it probably won't be at �1 on the contract getting full go ahead, but it really should be worth that. it simply can't be languishing in the 30s if there is a deal in place and operational that is producing over �20m a year in recurring revenues.....plus more MOUs in the pipeline. if it goes a head post trump then i think that's better than it going ahead in January - this way it's deemed acceptable to proceed with the known known that Trump is trying to stick it to Iran. so there is only really upside in the Iran sanctions situation. if the EU and other non-US countries don't surrender to Trump's sanctions now then they're not goign to in the near future.
